The manor house is old and furnished in the “olde worlde” style. Our room on the second floor was on the smaller side, but not cramped. However, the bed linen was crisp and white and a real pleasure to sleep in! Breakfast was adequate with the usual cereals, bread, cold cuts and fruits. Hot dishes were scrambled eggs, bacon and fried frankfurters- guess should have been sausages? Dinner was well-cooked food, nothing fancy, but delicious. The swimming pool is outside/outdoor and quite a distance from the main house. Overall had a pleasant stay.

This is a wonderful place to stay at. Just keep in mind that they are located far from Arzua. If you contact them, they might be able to arrange your taxi transportation. We stayed at this place while walking El Camino de Santiago. It was an awesome break after walking from Palas de Rei to Arzua, which was a long walk, so we didn’t have the power to keep walking until getting the this property. We took a taxi (paid by us) but next day the covered the taxi cost to take us back to Arzua to continue our walk. Everything was fabulous staff, property, food, swimming pool...

Good facilities, terrible food Beautiful surroundings and opulent, spacious rooms, quirky facilities. The only thing that let this place down was the dinner. For 29 Euro per person, my cod was so salty it was inedible and my husband did not finish his undercooked burgers either. It's a shame because they have all the elements to make it a 5* experience.

Excellent country-manor style of hotel with an old style of decor. It can be unsettling if one is an animal-lover though as there are scores of hunting trophies ( stuffed, fleeced) displayed in several areas. It’s a pleasure exploring the estate with its gardens, a little chapel and a swimming pool area. The level of service is pretty good and very welcoming. I was served tea on the first floor balcony overlooking the gardens and it was a very peaceful experience. The rooms are well-furnished. The food is decent and the breakfast spread is okay.

This was the most amazing place our group of six Camino travelers stayed during our 550 mile tour of Camino Frances. We were on bikes; it is off the official Camino route but we grabbed a reservation at Pazo de Brandeso because we were a larger group and nothing else was available. The staff and host was incredibly helpful. The owner, Juan led us in his car in the morning to show us a better way to get to the the designated bike route for the Camino. This took about an hour of his time which most owners would never consider. He also spent a considerable amount of time the previous evening informing us of the history of the incredible property. The home was built in 1620 and the chapel predates that. At one time, one end of the house was even a headquarters for the Spanish Inquisition. Such incredible history! Just walking around in the home was very entertaining. The food and service was excellent on all levels; highly recommended.

We stayed a various Pazos while we walked the Camino Frances, this was the most amazing and hospitable destination of all that we stayed at, we decided to stay 2 nights. Our hosts Juan and Raquel were very knowledgable and made our stay very special. The Pazo and its rolling gardens held surprises at every turn. The food specially prepared by the resident chef. Every meal was a treat. Every bedroom has a unique theme. The common lounges, covered terraces and garden seating coves are timeless. We will definitely go back.

Hoy 15 de agosto llegamos sobre las 16:00 y a las 17:00 abandonamos el hotel, nos asignaron una habitación abuhardillada extremadamente caliente, mi esposa a punto de desmayo, conseguimos la puerta abierta al llegar, luego entendimos por qué, para que estuviera medianamente ventilada. Bajamos a recepción y no nos dieron ninguna solución, en la habitación consigues un ventilador plástico que escasamente mueve el calor. No lo recomendamos, pero si quieren un día de sauna, adelante.
