Hotel Europa Residence

Over many decades, we have seen more of Italy than most Italians. This was new territory for us, and as with most travelers, after a long day's drive we wanted to settle in to our hotel, have a good meal and then take some time to get the sense of the place. That routine was thwarted in unexpected ways. Asiago has decided to make the downtown area car free and pedestrian friendly on weekends. While that is a worthy aim, we spent half an hour going in circles unable to reach the hotel with our GPS telling us to go down streets that were barred. Several calls to the hotel were thankfully answered in English. I even stopped at the local police station-which was closed for the weekend! This is well known to the locals, but not to people from 4500 miles away. It would be VERY EASY for the hotel to post some helpful directions on their website, and/or notify guests arriving on weekends-but they did not. That is unacceptable. Finally, Maddalena, of the hotel met us at a parking lot and guided us to perhaps the one southern street that took us to the hotel. She was very kind, and it is not her fault that the hotel didn't anticipate this problem. While we were on our trip, the hotel website was updated to note that their Michelin Starred restaurant would open in June. There was no mention that their other restaurant, also recommended by Michelin, was also closed. We were first told that they were redesigning their menu, an annual occurrence. Digging further, we learned that their chef had left, and a new one was to start sometime in the next few weeks. This is a challenge for the hotel and a major annoyance for someone who booked the hotel nearly a year ago because of the presence of the restaurants! The hotel did right by us. They were able to secure a reservation on a Saturday night at a fine restaurant on the outskirts of town, one also recommended by Michelin. They also drove us there and back in the hotel van, avoiding another challenging drive with the weekend restrictions. Asiago is a neat little town, a little sleepy, but very clean, crime free and in a pleasant agricultural and recreational environment. Tommasso and Maddalena were exemplary hotel employees and really did give us some insight into the fine people who live here. The hotel breakfasts are delightful, the public rooms charming, the hotel rooms (at least ours) a bit dated, but quite comfortable. After the replacement of the third Sky control box, our television worked well and we were able to get some English language news, important in this troubled world. Travelers need to be flexible and open minded. But at the same time hotels need to anticipate the needs of their guests. I'm sure the hotel will again be a culinary destination, and one can't anticipate a chef leaving. We did get a feel for the town and the region. I'm not sure if there is enough to draw us back, other than fine people who see the merits of living in a fairly remote place.

Starting from the hotel kindly coming to find me when i got lost on arrival to when i left, they were helpful in everyway. The hotel is of the region, cosy with comfortable clean rooms and a several eating options. From the bar area to a Michelin star restaurant. I had one meal there and it was superb. They helped us find bicycles routes and had bikes to loan , rent. Also gave us ideas of what to do in the area. We were a large group of people over a few weeks and all throughout that time, they were perfect hosts. It is in the center so walking distance to many other restaurants, cafes, shops and the local airport. It is a hotel in the center of the town , so there is noise to at least 10 at night, but on the whole after that it was quiet. It is not a rowdy town, but an elegant mountain location. I would return for the friendless of the family and staff who run the hotel and highly recommend as a hotel destination.

Hotel in centro ad Asiago, comodo ai negozi e ai servizi. Personale cordiale e attento, ambienti puliti e curati, centro benessere intimo in esclusiva. Cucina e servizio ottimi, con possibilità di menù bimbi. Attenzione a non perdere la chiave della camera perché si paga la penale, pur avendo usufruito dei servizi di ristorazione.

Frequento Asiago da anni. Per la prima volta ho soggiornato all’ hotel Europa: dal momento del nostro arrivo e’ stato evidente come il Personale sia davvero gentile, disponibile, professionale; in una solo parola eccellente. Particolare menzione merita Maddalena alla reception. Hotel molto bello e curato, camere pulitissime. Colazione varia e con prodotti di qualità! Per la cena bisognava prenotare per tempo: sarà fatto! Complimenti!

Ci siamo fermati per un pranzo veloce al Bar Europa, non era la prima volta essendo un assiduo frequentatore di Asiago ma sicuramente è stata l’ultima. Mia figlia di 4 anni doveva andare in bagno ma vedendo la porta aperta con una scopa a “sbarrare” l’ingresso ho chiesto al proprietario se potevo entrare, mi dice di si. Finito entra con tono arrogante e a dir poco scortese una signora di una certa età (penso la proprietaria) urlandoci dietro, chiedendo se non avevamo visto la famosa scopa. Al che le cerco di spiegare in bel modo che avevo appunto chiesto se potevo usufruire del bagno e che mi era stato acconsentito. Posso immaginare che dover lavorare ad età da pensione sia magari per alcune persone frustrante ma non dev’essere motivo di aggredire un buon cliente! Oltre a questo tavolo non pulito ma messe sopra le tovagliette, chiesto 4 volte una cannuccia per la bimba e la stiamo ancora aspettando. Peccato, lo ricordavo un posto buono per un pranzo e aperitivo veloce!

Hotel in pieno centro ad asiago. arredato con grande classe e buon gusto con attenzione per i dettagli. abbiamo soggiornato in coppia per un weekend gentilezza ed accoglienza di tutto il personale. camera in mansarda molto coccola con un ottimo materasso .lenzuola candide e morbide.servizio di cortesia di livello.bollitore con tisane di qualita'. pulizia ordine e profumatori in camera e nelle parti comuni. colazione elegante in una bellissima sala in stile montano chic con prodotti del territorio .attenzione al dettaglio. Receptionist sara gentilissima ed efficiente. 3 ristoranti di cui una stube..parcheggio privatio superconsigliato !!!!
