Nice place to stay if you are checking out Seljandfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls in the late afternoon. Great breakfast and dinner!

Please do not patronage this hotel. During a horrible storm where we literally could not drive due to the extremely high winds of well over 15m/s, and up to 24m/s+ gusts, we pulled over in the nearest "safe place" which happened to be this hotel's parking lot. With only one other vehicle in the whole lot of more than 20 spaces, they came out in the crazy storm, to try to get us to move immediately. When I told him it wasn't safe, and asked if we could stay, he was unmoved. I showed him the huge sign on our dashboard that said it was dangerous for us to drive in these conditions (over 15m/s), he reluctantly said we could stay until the wind died down a bit and then we had to leave, even if it was the middle of the night and still storming. If this establishment cares more about their nearly empty parking lot than the safety of people, then they should lose business

We stayed in two different types of accommodations - the apartments and the rooms inside the main hotel building. The apartments were new and great, with large bathrooms and adequate space and comfortable furnishings. The rooms inside the hotel did not meet expectations. Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean but very dated. Bathrooms were very small with no place to put any toiletries. Bedroom had very old furniture, the wardrobe in my children's room was falling off its hinges. Definitely did not live up to the "luxurious" accommodation status. The location, however, cannot be beat. Nestled at the base of the mountains, the place was very picturesque and close to both Seljalanfoss and Skogafoss.

We stayed in an apartment room, with a comfortable living area and kitchenette in addition to bedroom and bath. The bed was so comfortable and the location is very serene and beautiful. It was a truly relaxing place to stay after a long flight and a drive from Reykjavik. We had dinner at the restaurant which was nicely appointed and very good ( we had lamb and fish). Breakfast was part of the fare, but was only average. The room was immaculate, and the shower was great. This is a good place to stay if you are driving the south coast.

A nicely located ‘boutique ‘ hotel with a great restaurant conveniently located for waterfalls and stunning scenery nicely set back offthe ring road and only about 40 mins from Vik . The rooms in the main hotel are a bit old school and flowery in style rather than traditional Icelandic -and could do with a little remodelling . The new annex rooms are better if you want a more Nordic vibe. Otherwise very friendly and welcoming team with a good breakfast. The wild goose burger in the restaurant was awesome and the child’s burger very generous in size . Highly rated all the food we had. Slight gripe the hot tubs were a little green with algae but the views stunning .
