Pros The hotel facilities were absolutely beautiful with an amazing view. Traditional Nubian style house. Every corner makes you want to capture the space. We had a rocky start but the hotel staff tried to redeem themselves. We lost an apple watch which the hotel helped us get back ASAP before we reached Luxor. We are grateful for this. Cons Awful communication and hospitality. We were the only guests in the entire resort because of low season but still received shitty service. The hotel is in a secluded place making it difficult to reach.It’s on top of a mountain on a dusty rocky road. The hotel offers a tuktuk. We did our research prior and contacted the hotel to arrange getting to the hotel from the village and check in since we knew we’d land in the AMs. We were ignored. We arrived at the village meeting point at 1:45 but only ended up getting to our rooms around 3:50am because reaching the hotel via call and WhatsApp was so difficult. The staff had no sense of urgency. We were frustrated and anxious in this wellness resort. Our taxi driver refused to take us up the mountain and the tuktuk refused to take us because of our many bags (which is understandable). I’m very disappointed in the service and I know the staff has lots of potential to improve on their service delivery. The hotel needs to be more cognisant of their customer service and guests hospitality. Staying here was stressful. Recommended if you want aesthetic vibes,a beautiful picturesque hotel with good breakfast. Don’t recommend if you prioritise great guest services, comfortability and peace.

Katodoll is a unique hotel for relaxation and disconnection from outer world and social media it’s perfect for couples to enjoy the vibes and have a wonderful experience but not suitable for seniors and the way to the hotel is not paved for half the way and it’s through a mountain People working there are friendly helpful and the food is organic

這是一家非常矛盾的不知道值不值推薦的民宿酒店,缺點和優點都非常突出,適合網紅出片(以下照片都是原片未修),但不適合任何對“住宿”本身有一定要求的人。如果你能找到任何便宜的+乾淨的+類似風景的替代酒店都建議換了它,但如果衹為了拍照和風景,在努比亞村裡可能它排在最前列。 首先你要能忍受: 1.旺季毫無性價比的酒店價格,民宿開出了五星級酒店的價格。 2.糟糕的房間設施,毛坯風的傢俱窄小的房間,床單衞生堪憂,浴室洗澡水四溢排水形同虛設,沒有拖鞋,牙刷,吹風機(電話前台可提供)。 3.早餐是自助且異常簡陋和難吃,不像有些人評價的是set而且莫名其妙好評。 4.忍受或者加錢繼續忍受包車司機的抱怨開進努比亞村,然後自己聯繫酒店半夜換乘三蹦子在荒無人煙漆黑一片的山裡15分鐘懷疑人生中到達山頂酒店。 5.非常不合理的其他定價,我們原本想預訂元旦跨年party的晚餐,結果要價100美金一人…… 我們在這裏獲得什麼? 1.房間陽台就能看到尼羅河西岸無敵的日出,我們在這裏凌晨6點見證了2025年的第一縷曙光。 2.努比亞村文化建築裏各種擺拍很出片。 3.拍照帶上酒店旁邊的沙漠很出片。 4.非常特別的一羣遊客一排三蹦子蹦蹦躂躂上下山的文化體驗。 5.酒店服務人員比較友善,最後説明埃及不是小費國家,搬運行李是他們國家任何酒店的基本服務,入住全程沒有人要小費。

這個酒店基本沒有國人評價,為了讓大家避坑,有必要評價一下。酒店位置偏僻,位於尼羅河邊上的一個山頭,不在阿斯旺市區,需要到達山腳再坐二十多分鐘的tuktuk盤旋上山。雖然tuktuk免費,但送你前往的出租車司機一般不知道需要上山,並且一旦得知要上山就會一路罵罵咧咧,抱怨不斷。要是你是晚上到達阿斯旺,就會更加狼狽。住在那兒,就避開了一切參與阿斯旺城市生活尤其是夜生活的機會,因為上下山一個來回都非常不方便。相關旅遊行程用車可以讓酒店定,但酒店經理也是一口報價,不接受任何議價,吃頓大餐零頭都絕不抹一分。

Staying at Kato Dool was an unforgettable experience! The beauty of the site, the breathtaking view over the Nile Valley, and the peaceful atmosphere made it truly special. We loved discovering Nubian culture, and the kindness of the team—especially Asma—made us feel at home. The fresh, local cuisine was delicious, and every detail in the decor added to the charm. The small boutique with unique creations was a lovely touch. A serene and inspiring place, perfect for relaxation. I highly recommend it!

I spent my anniversary and it was a very lovely. The hotel location is perfect on top of the mountain and it has a wonderful view to all Aswan next to Nubian Village , they serve a fantasic nubien food and staff are very friendly. In additon , they affoard a lot of activities and tours managed by the property..I recommend it for wellness and relaxation holidays with family , friends or honey mooners.

If you visit Aswan you must stay at Kato Dool. The location is amazing - it is about 20 minutes from the Nubian village, via a bumpy desert track but it is well worth the effort to get there. The building is beautiful. The rooms are large and very clean and comfortable. All have amazing views. The food in the restaurant is quite a lot more expensive than eating in restaurants in the Nubian village (about 3x price). But the food is very good, and the service is excellent. The pool area is great. The pool needs to be a bit better maintained (the filter system needs fixing). It is a short walk to the beach, and there is a free tuk tuk to the village whenever you need. All of the staff were very helpful and welcoming. A special mention to Ahmed on reception and Tariq who made sure we had everything we needed.

Spectacular view, comfortable and very clean rooms. Staff are very warm and friendly and extremely helpful. Swimmable Nile right under also one of the nicest spots. It’s a great place for a getaway , experiencing Nubian vibes. Would definitely come again

The Kato Dool Hotel is too beautiful for just one night but offers too little for a longer stay. This creates a contradiction, and there is still much work to be done. **Pros:** - The hotel features unique architecture with vibrant colors, staying true to the Nubian style. - The view is probably the best you can get in Aswan. - Every room includes a cozy balcony. - There is an outdoor terrace by the pool where you can enjoy food while overlooking the Nile. - The food they serve is good. **Cons:** - The food is very monotonous. 80% of the dishes are some variety of tagine. There are only a few vegetarian options, with most dishes featuring chicken, beef, or seafood. Seafood dishes must be ordered one day in advance. The waiting time for drinks and food is also very long—expect to wait 40-60 minutes after placing your order. - Many of the wooden furniture pieces need readjustment. Doors are difficult to open, windows don’t close properly, and closets won’t open. - There is only Wi-Fi in the reception area, with no coverage in the rooms. Management has been aware of this issue for over a year and promised to fix it, but nothing has changed (according to older reviews). - The rooms are very noisy. Whenever someone uses water on any floor, the boiler runs for several minutes, and you can hear every cough from neighboring rooms. - There are no blackout curtains, and the air conditioning is slow to cool the room. In the main area, there is also a loud beeping noise coming from the roof, which the staff hasn’t been able to stop. It is constant and extremely annoying when dining, relaxing, or sleeping. - The road leading to the hotel is unpaved, consisting of sand and rocks. - The hotel offers a tuk-tuk service between the village and the hotel, but there is little to do in the village. For trips to Aswan or other places, you need to book a private driver through reception. Each way will cost you about 800EGP every time - Although the hotel is branded as a 4-star wellness hotel, the only facility it offers is a pool—there are no other wellness services. - We paid around €400 for three nights, which isn’t a lot by European standards, but it is expensive for Egypt, and the quality of service did not meet expectations. The hotel is beautiful, but that’s about it. This was something we noticed throughout Aswan: prices are higher than in Luxor, but the level of service drops significantly. Even the bathrooms lack basic amenities, like toilet brushes. - There are many staff members, but their English is very limited, making communication difficult and leading to frequent misunderstandings. The only staff member who is easy to work with is Ahmed at the reception. He tries his best to make your stay more enjoyable. - A major downside is the lack of an alcohol license. While alcohol isn’t essential for a vacation, it adds a romantic element to the evenings with the stunning view. The hotel caters exclusively to foreign tourists,

Was an amazing stay, beautiful location definitely worth spending more than one night because there is so much to do and to enjoy the view with a nice amazing tea, which they have many. Food also very amazing. Ahmed anwar at reception was so helpful and nice and organised us the private trip to Abu Simbal and to the airport so we had nothing to worry about.

Beautiful property in traditional Nubian style. Rooms were nicely decorated and had very comfortable beds. The property is located on a mountain overlooking the Nile, the staff was very friendly and helpful with organizing drivers and tours to make this an unforgettable experience!

Beautiful, super original hotel. All rooms have Nile view, I must say wonderful view! Even better than from famous Old Cataract hotel. Our room had a balcony with river view. Hotel is very new locally decorated, colorful, really Nubian style. Pool is " endless" overlooking Nile. Rooms are not big, but very cute, originally painted and decorated. Breakfast is very good and restaurant is also very original. Beautiful design. I wanted to try Spa ( I know Spa services are seasonal) , but as our flight was 2 hours late I couldn't enjoy hotel as much as I wonted. I must honestly say the road to the hotel located in Nubian village is pretty bad, but worth going there! If you like local style and originality - you will be delighted, if you look for typical , boring style, but well equipped hotel ( Hilton style) - it may not be your first choice. Customer service is very nice, management try to help you with everything. Pity we couldn't stay longer!

Decoration is awesome really beautiful but that doesnt justified the price of the room. I had a suite with a jacuzzi but the jacuzzi wasnt working it was impossible to fill it and there is not enough hot water to do so anyway.. The jacuzzi is beside the main terrace and the pool of the hotel so 0 privacy. It was pretty cold in the room I asked 3 times to get heater in the room never had it.. no shutter so at 5 am its daily sunny in the room.. The bed and pillow are great for egypt but I dont feel like the standard of the room is justifying the pricing of 300 per night. Staff is REALLY warmful and friendly so I am a bit feeling sad for them to have to put such a comment about the standard.. Cleaning staff are doing an exceptionnal job to have room that clean with so much dust and sand around well done !! This is an instagram place for sure but standard has to be upgraded to pretend to such a pricing.
