Rakuten Stay Atami recensioner

It’s a very new hotel. Room is very nice and facilities are sufficient. Roof terrace is very cozy. Will come again next time.

The hotel has great location and it’s very new and spacious. We stayed on the day of fireworks and we can see the fireworks closely in the balcony. However, there is no front reception and no luggage storage before and after check in.

Self checkin is much easier than expected, it highly recommends to make the checkin in advance that the Hotel will send the email to customer. And please make a large sign for self-checkin tablet, it took a half minute to locate the tablet. If you have any problem, just directly press the button “contact staff”, they will process to relevant staff (i.e. speak in Japanese, English or Mandarin). It is walkable distance to the beach, convenience stores 7-11 and Family Mart, and many restaurants. No clear instruction for cleaning, other than that, all is good for our stay.

New decorations and facilities. Nice view from balcony in the room and delicious breakfast. The check in was a bit difficult but the staff online tried their best to help.

Best modern hotel that I ever stayed! The furnishing and space is excellent! Love the coffee making tools and process. Only down side is the parking is slight a walking distance away.

Room was nicely designed with a sofa corner and terrace. There was also a free drink corner and rooftop terrace. However, there was only indoor onsen and this is a self service hotel without any staff on site for reservation.

Smelling pillows, blankets, and towels. Steam room is good, and isolating study rooms are considerable.

The entrance gate doesn’t open until someone walks closer. This was not explicitly written anywhere so we got stuck and tried to figure out for quite some time. The kitchen staff was not able to guide us as well as there is no front. The first impression is very bad. We had another reservation through Rakuten travel as we didn’t know that we need to add a comment to the reservation, we didn’t receive any pre checkin information. The bell at the front door doesn’t connect to anyone to answer as we tried several times when fail with the key. Very bad experience with only kitchen staff. Saved money and time for the company and wasted our time to complete checkin. It’s really bad to let traveller assume this bad experience when the company should provide a smooth checkin service. Plus, the women from the tablet had very bad attitude. Even deliberately let us wait when after the first time she dropped the phone line. She pretended she doesn’t speak good Chinese but I believe she is a native. This is another bad part. Not just attitude, as a staff this is definitely bad training from the company.

No staff at the reception. All concerns and check in process will be done thru their online counters.

We are very appreciative that there were enough space for the 3 of us to be comfortable. And for us to enjoy the view of Atami

Newly opened hotel in the heart of Atami town. Recommend it as the room is very modern and clean. Spacious for Japanese hotel standards

Free drink and bar is very good

Although some people may feel that it’s a hassle to do online check-in without a ‘proper’ hotel front desk assistance, we didn’t have any issues. We could submit our personal details via our mobile phones anywhere anytime prior arriving. Then upon arriving, using the PIN sent to our emails, we could smoothly enter the entrance. At the lobby, there were tablets, for each guests to take their picture for verification to the information we had submitted beforehand. Then we were connected to a call centre which asked us some simple questions then it was done. We loved that there were free flow of hot & cold drinks, alcohol and non-alcohol, free flow chocolates/sweets/japanese nuts available. We were a group of 7, so we used the common space for our meals. The rooms were huge for Japan standards with a small sink, dining table attached. Each booking came with a car park lot. The car park is just a 2-3 minutes drive away and we just parked accordingly to our room number. I cannot be more pleased with my stay here and will definitely recommend friends to stay here.
