Super 8 by Wyndham Athens TX

Started a new job in Texas, moving from California. While finding a place to live I stayed there for like 11 days......... Well the A/C was broke, (Air conditioning) notified them 1st day. 100F plus outside 85F in my room. Couldn't sleep, poured down sweat all night long. Repeatedly notified them and personally to the Maintenace man. After like 6 days with no air, I said I wanted a refund and they said weren't allowed to do that. Well not wanting to move all my stuff I toughed it out, going to my new job with no sleep for days. On my last day like the 10th or 11th day, it was fixed. This is so bad, so disappointed, and still expect a refund. I will file a formal complaint. My goodness. Worst hotel experience in my 57 years in this world.

Very good service. Polite staff. Clean, large room, double queen. Helpful open, low shower step, with plastic sitting chair if needed. Nice choices for cold breakfast, including toaster & microwave usage.Best hotel in Athens. great treat selections at desk.

There’s no breakfast. The front lobby is inaccessible. This hotel built a wall to prevent people from accessing the lobby. The only lobby access is 5x5 feet. You have to pay the cashier through a glass window. ITS VERY VERY UNWELCOMING TO ALL THE GUEST.

This is by far the worst hotel I have seen. We left after seeing our room and did not spend the night. Smelled damp and mildewy and had a large mold spot on the ceiling. Was told by desk there is NO breakfast as advertised. Was offered no other room or refund by desk. I am in process of seeking a refund.

There is a sign on the door that states breakfast is from 7 to 9. I got there at 8:30. There was no breakfast. That is outright lying. The motel itself is basic and clean. There were very few electrical outlets - none by the bed or at the desk. The shower handle fell off when turning it. The walls are paper thin.

This is not a fancy hotel, but it is clean. Parking got interesting as they were full both nights I was there. I let the office know of a few items that needed to be looked at. Staff was nice and helpful.
