We just came back from our trip from Jacksonville..went visit family member near there and went to rent this hotel nearby ..Quality Inn..we check in and after two hours there bugs started coming out one by one ..first it was spiders..I saw I believe to be bed bug and the sheets was so dirty, it smell like mold …then my son saw couple roaches, we decided to leave and go to another hotel close by…we talk to the lady in the front desk to get our refund back but she said to us” you should look at the room before you booked? This is our policy..,no refund” this is the worst spend $200 dollars of this smelling hotel…so if anyone have read this PLEASE …I mean PLEASE do not book this hotel at all …not worth yur money and yur time … Btw we end up staying at Holiday Inn express not too far from there …it was clean and worth every pennies..

This is a great hotel not far from the beach. The rooms are clean and very nice for a Quality Inn! I loved the pool and my husband was impressed by the very large TV in the room. The staff was friendly and recommended a few places to eat in the area. We will be back!!

Stayed 11-3/4 and was bitten by bed bugs! Motel is denying it and refusing to refund!! Place is dirty, dumpy and nasty people hang around outside. Dog poop everywhere, no water pressure, microwave and ironing board rusty and broken. Jason, desk clerk, lies and is extremely rude!!

one if my favorite places. Location is perfect for us. Beach is close. Fishing is close. Pool is perfect. Great parking at my door. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores near by. We will book again.

Very nice hotel and helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Some decent places to eat locally and god places to visit . Be warned that the State parks are closed Monday and Tuesday. Jacksonville Zoo is a good day out but you need to get your tickets online first.

We stopped at this hotel to stay one night after a long day with our three children. The room was disgusting. At first impression, we walked in the room and a large stain was on the bedspread. The sheets had holes in them. The pillow had mold on it, with a pillow case on top. The ceiling had mold on it. The bathroom ceiling had mildew, along with mildew in spots of the shower. At first we were going to stay, but the more I saw I knew we would not be able to rest properly. The outside of the hotel had guests hanging out smoking *********. This was not at all a family environment. We went to the desk to get our money back. We spoke with the manager on duty, and he said the owner would be back on Monday to investigate what we reported. He could not give us a refund back, that would be the owner's decision. Today is Monday, my credit card has been charged $287.15 and a refund of $58.00 was given. This is unacceptable and a very bad way to handle issues. Another room was offered, but we did not want to try. Every room should be in perfect condition. I have tried calling the hotel to speak with the manager on duty, but he is in a meeting.

This is the Fourth time staying here at Quality Inn Mayport. If you don't mind living among people who think they are still in high school and can stand outside your room drinking and partying, you will fit in well here. Everyone throws their garbage, cigarette butts in the parking lot and there is no one that cleans it up. So as long as you don't mind looking at trash all over the place, in addition to immature people who do not know how to respect others, you should stay here. We always ALWAYS clean up after ourselves, always leave the room without any garbage or anything except just the normal housekeeping. Yet each time our room was worse and worse as far as location. Last night was peaceful but we were told that room was "not available" (even though we asked at about 10am, before we had even checked out of it). Instead we had to check out, then check back in and they stuck us between a bunch of obviously long-term stay construction workers. And we are even Choice Hotel members and have NEVER caused any problems at ANY hotel where we have stayed. Housekeeping always THANKS US for leaving our room so clean as well as a TIP for them, but the front desk people couldn't care less. That would include the manager, who stuck us in this room. It is NOT worth the money to stay here and we cannot figure out HOW it has such great reviews, other than the fact that it is sort of remodeled and modern. These are NOT "people" oriented or customer service oriented people here. They are here to make a profit and couldn't care less about any of us PEOPLE who stay here.
