Silver Seahorse Garden Retreat

One of the best night sleeps! We stayed there over few days for a birthday party. One of the best experiences…staff were super helpful and accommodating. It feels very homely and like visiting your family. Lovely swimming pool, gated main door, cosy bedroom and very clean - perfect for family holiday or weekend vacation with friends. Certainly be back again with kids. Staff are priceless . Thanks again!

First time visit to Portugal . Stayed just outside Peniche at this wonderful hotel . Our group of friends block booked the hotel . Pre our visit we were kept well informed and transport arranged from Lisbon airport . Rooms were immaculate and ready . Nothing was to much trouble for Lyn and Grace . Modern, airy small hotel, very new, well maintained, very clean. Large, well equipped bedroom. Good-sized garden with nice pool, pool bar and shady sitting areas. Quiet and relaxing. Excellent breakfast and also good simple foods at the pool bar. Very friendly and attentive staff and owners. 7 mins walk to Praia da Consolação, which is a nice, sandy, large beach good.

I booked a self contained apartment in Silver Seahorse for my daughter’s family. The booking process was easy and I found the manager to be extremely helpful. My daughter was travelling with her partner and 8 month old baby. The apartment was perfect for them. It was modern and fully equipped for their needs. The pool and jacuzzi were big hits! The staff were available and informative without being intrusive. The location is perfect, near all amenities and yet had the exclusive feeling of being removed from the hustle and bustle. I highly recommend the Silver Seahorse, it is exactly as described; a garden retreat.

The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area. On entering the hotel then is a lovely feeling of peacefulness and calmness. It is modern and well decorated throughout. The bedrooms are large enough and tastefully decorated, some having balconies. The beds are very comfortable and have kettles with complimentary tea bags and coffee sachets. The bathrooms are large enough with powerful showers and plenty of hot water. The breakfast/dining room is large enough without being too large, it is light and airy and looks out to the garden. The buffet breakfast is superb with a variety of choices which the wonderful staff replenish frequently. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at this hotel. There is a large well decorated room that has a selection of books for the guests to borrow, this room has armchairs and sofas and is lovely just to sit in and relax whilst looking out at the garden. The bar is well stocked and is very reasonably priced, you can also order a good selection of food from the snack menu at the bar. The very large garden is well maintained with comfortable sun beds around the pool, the pool is kept lovely and clean and is very appreciated when the weather is hot. There is also a hot tub which is nice for anyone who hasn’t used one before, we sat in it in the evening with a couple of friends. The lovely owners Grace and Lynne really do try to make your stay as lovely as possible. They go above and beyond. They are friendly and always around if you need anything. The hotel does have its own mini bus and if Lynne and Grace are free they are happy to take you out in it for a very reasonable fee. The surrounding area to the hotel has very few shops or restaurants at the moment, but if your looking for a quiet relaxing hotel, then the silver sea horse could be just right for you. This hotel is great for everyone, but for a large group of friends you feel like you have your own villa. Thank you Lynne and Grace. The hotel is within a 5 minute walk to the sea and it has a lovely sandy beach.

El desayuno, para ser Portugal, es un poco tarde, a partir de las 9:00, y le faltaría algo más de variedad, algo caliente por ejemplo y mejor calidad en el escaso fiambre que ofrcen por el precio que cuesta. El personal, eso sí, es muy amable.
