Hotel seems brand new. Beds and pillows comfortable. Shower and elevators oddly not that clean but everywhere else spotless. The whole coffee/ beverage area was out of service which was a pain at breakfast. We also forgot toothpaste and I was surprised they couldn’t help us. Had to find a cvs. I would definitely try an avid hotel again based on this though.

We stayed here for 2 nights while my daughter's basketball team attended camp at Auburn. Staff was friendly, however, the hotel doesn't have fridges/microwaves in the room. No closet area. We had to beg for towels....gave us 2 towels for 2 people and if you asked for more you had to turn in your original towels. I have never experienced this with a hotel before. Location was decent with a well lit parking lot. If back in the area I would look for another place to stay

If I could give this place no stars I would. It is absolutely a terribly run hotel with useless staff. We showed up for our reservation and they had no rooms. We had a confirmed reservation and they did not have any rooms. The hotel staff refused to help and could have cared less that they left us high and dry. I will never ever stay at this hotel chain ever. I recommend you don’t either.

We were moving our daughter into her apartment and booked a room directly with Avid. My husband tried to check in at 2:30 but was told it was too early. I tried to check in online but it wouldn’t work. We continued working in the apartment and were in the middle of a Target run when someone from the hotel called. He told us they did not have a room for us b/c they had overbooked and had no more rooms available. Seriously??? I mentioned our attempts to check in and was told they can only check in guests in person. Students are moving in and graduation is tomorrow and suddenly we don’t have a room? Even though we booked this room well in advance? Ridiculous!!! Luckily, our favorite hotel had a last minute cancellation and we have a place to stay. I had a future reservation with them but just cancelled it and am staying somewhere else. First time in my life a hotel called me at 6:30pm to say we didn’t have a place to stay.

Couldn't be happier with the customer service provided by Steven at this hotel. Steven gave me a friendly welcome on arrival and some invalable advice on local transport connections which ended up saving me around $300 (!) through a cheaper flight a shuttle connection to Atlanta International. In general this hotel is an excellent place to stay in Auburn. The free 24 hour coffee, tea (even with a surprise English tea selection!) and well-equipped gym will make this my go-to option for future stays in Auburn. The staff on front desk even allowed me to change the dates of my booking without any extra cost. Five stars!
