The Gleneagles Hotel

I had a fantastic stay It was truly a unique and memorable experience. The resort is stunning and offers everything you could possibly need—there’s really no reason to leave as everything is available on-site. The variety of restaurants was impressive, with delicious food and plenty of options to suit all tastes. I personally tried three of the restaurants and also ordered room service, and each experience was excellent. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a great selection of dishes to start the day right. The resort offers a wide range of activities that my family and I thoroughly enjoyed. We went horse riding, tried clay shooting, and even did some climbing. The kids’ playroom was also fantastic and kept the little ones entertained. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which added to the overall wonderful experience. Thank you for an amazing stay I’ll definitely be back soon!

Fabulous Hotel Excellent Service Superb Food Staff Excellent Rooms Beautiful From start to end of our stay at Gleneagles the attention and Service by all staff members was excellent. The dining choices available are good and cater for all tastes and budgets. The facilities are good quality and the available list of things to do while there is comprehensive. Highly Reccomended.

Five of us visited for coffee & cakes/lunch in the garden cafe as part of our Christmas celebrations. We received a very warm welcome & excellent service throughout. We ordered a range of food including soup which was described as the “best ever had”. The quiche was so good, my friend ordered one for takeaway. The hot chocolate was exceptional - top tip ask for cream etc. i stuck with earl grey & a lovely scone - i very much enjoyed them. The setting is stunning, staff at every stage of our visit were friendly despite clearly being busy at this time of year. Well worth a visit.

Exceptional food, service and surroundings . The team should be proud of all you achieve. I would highly recommend Gleneagles to anyone wishing to indulge in a fantastic experience . The hotel was very busy on the evening I was there but nothing was too much trouble for the fantastic staff

My sister has just treated me and her to a few days away for her 60th and it filled all our expectations! The weather also helped as it was glorious even for October. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were all amazing and so friendly and helpful which made it all the more fun and special. Breakfast is just amazing with a plethora of delicious treats savoury and sweet you were totally spoiled for choice. We had an amazing upgrade and champagne in our room which was as an excellent surprise to start our few days . We went axe throwing which was fabulous and our tutor was excellent and encouraged us so we learned the skills to even have a mini competition!! Great fun was had as he was so patient with us. I happened to mention I wanted to get a haggis for my husband and straight away we were offered the chauffeur and he took us to the local butcher to get what we wanted!! Just wonderful service . A special trip made extra special by all the wonderful staff.

Not quite up there. The fact that his hotel now puts on a 12.5% surcharge on EVERYTHING became a real bug bear. When I say everything I mean EVERYTHING! I bought a massage for £215. As if that wasn’t expensive enough, they then added another £26 service charge. Also on every drink we bought they added this charge. It was ridiculous. Yes it’s discretionary but having to ask for it to be removed is not what I want to continuously keep doing my whole stay. The food in the Birnham, was ridiculously expensive- £70 for a 300g steak!! Breakfast we had to queue for every morning. The music system in the bar is really inadequate- it’s like a tin pot playing music, and I’m not sure who’s playlist they were playing but it was not suitable for after dinner drinks in a 5 star hotel! Who’s running this place? Teenagers? They were playing the worst 90:s music I’ve ever heard for after dinner drinks! They should be a piano or some sort of soothing music - not Madonna 80s best hits followed my 90:s rap music. Our room was adequate My room was a £800 a night room with a view over the air con units (see photos) I know not all rooms come with a view, I’m just stating for information purposes. There was no make up mirror at the dressing table. The only mirror was in the bathroom which made getting ready and drying my hair, really difficult. And had to use my iPad as a mirror to dry my hair. I expect much more for this price of room. Overall the staff were pleasant but it wasn’t worth the expense- expected much more to be honest. Also I came back with bites on my neck leg and stomach, don’t know if this was from the bed or just around the hotel but not great.
