Marsden Viaduct Hotel recensioner

Was a really lovely stay, we were in a superior king room. Mostly really tidy and great service. Netflix, disney, etc on the TV. We found eyelash extensions next to the bed and the vents could do with a clean but otherwise cant fault our stay!

Being in town for an overnight staycation with attending to Auckland Cabaret Festival event, I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of Marsden Viaduct Hotel.  My room was beautiful with a wonderful balcony view and bubble bath to pamper in as highlights.  Within close walking distance to bars, restaurants and a captivating vista of the viaduct, it’s a wonderful way to feel elsewhere on holiday whilst being in the heart of the city.  I’ll definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Very good stay enjoyed our stay... Just think they should have better system for car park service... But everything worked out fine... Thank U we will differnattly be back to stay again...

Lovely room. Very comfortable and clean except for bathroom floor and peripheral dust in bathroom - a hasty clean perhaps after a long vacancy perhaps? Parking, available on phone enquiry, no longer available on arrival, except expensive valet parking courtesy of Sofitel. Downstairs cafe, advertised as available for coffee and light breakfast was closed for ANZAC Day with no prior warning given. Restaurant which was advertised as having a set menu alternative was only open for full or partial buffet breakfast. Swim and spa facilities advertised as available are only for Sofitel guests. Room not serviced or stock replenished on second day - phoned to request more milk on return in the evening, and it took 40 minutes to arrive. Car requested in advance for 6.00 pm was forgotten and came up late at 6.20 pm. Not a problem in itself but disappointing given the other issues. Also no air conditioning currently until early May, which we were warned about; efficient fan was provided. I suspect our room was upgraded to compensate. It would have been nice to leave the door to the balcony open for cool air, but as we were placed on the roadside, it was too noisy to do so. We were also sent an email ahead of our stay, with offers for us to pay for a room upgrade, including an additional $19 for the superior room we had booked! We did not opt to do so.

The young woman who was at reception on Saturday afternoon was very friendly and very helpful.

Lovely quiet room, just lacking amenities

No signage of the hotel, no reception or concierge nowhere to park, no communication regarding where to park or how to find reception. GPS took us to Sofitel and our room was within this hotel under the Marsden name.

Wi-Fi is bad, cutting in and out… useless! Takes forever to watch a 30min show on the TV…. Ended up giving up on trying. So many light don’t work (the one above bathroom mirror and above the Mini bar) My room’s balcony faces Halsey St, and is noisy as xxxx coming from heavy vehicle or construction machine etc.

Hi , apart from reception being on the third floor and no access unless calling them to come and get you , very friendly and helpful staff , nice quite rooms .

New and quite environment, half hourly walking distance can arrive all nice spots
