I recently had the pleasure of staying at La Banasterie in Avignon and I cannot recommend it enough. The host, Fabrice, was truly amazing - a gentleman who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. He was not just a host, but a new found friend. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable and the friendly atmosphere made us feel right at home. The location was unbeatable, right by a charming bakery and two fantastic restaurants. What sets La Banasterie apart is its uniqueness - with only 6 rooms, multiple sitting areas both inside and out, and a collection of books to read and share. The daily breakfast was a highlight that we definitely did not want to miss out on. This was truly our best stay in Europe to date and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Fabrice and La Banasterie for an unforgettable experience. 5 stars all the way!

We had a wonderful stay at La Banasterie! Veronique & Fabrice were the most pleasant and helpful hosts. They were willing and able to assist us in making reservations, recommendations, providing maps to the area, refreshments, etc. Our accommodations were charming and the location of La Banasterie is excellent for exploring Avignon. We could not have asked for a better experience!

Beautifully furnished and decorated house with large rooms. Additional terrace and small sitting rooms available for the guests. Instead of minibar, there is a honesty bar with a good selection of local beers and wines. Very nice breakfast, the bread selection changes every day. Personal favorite was the homemade yoghurt with homemade granola. Crazy staircases may make it hard to navigate for some.

What a great value in Avignon! We really enjoyed staying here and getting to know our hosts. They went over board to make us welcomed. Make sure you get their dinner recommendations - they were spot on. The place and clean and comfortable. Brekfasts were good, including home made yogurt and jams.

This lovely guesthouse is located on a quiet street in the center of Avignon and close to the major sites as well as to great restaurants. The experience was enhanced by the friendly hospitality of the charming hosts, Veronique and Fabrice. They did everything possible to make sure our stay was perfect and had great recommendations for sites to visit, museums, markets and walks in Avignon. They assisted us with reservations to several outstanding restaurants that we easily walked to. The breakfast they prepare is exceptional and is characterized by their homemade yogurt, granola and jams as well as a plenty of local cheeses, meat, pastries and honey.

Such a lovely place to stay in Avignon. Amazing location, right next to the Palais des Papes down a beautiful quiet cobblestone street. The room was large, bright and comfortable (especially the bed). Common spaces were lovely and well appointed. Breakfast was a highlight - so many pastries and homemade goodies in a beautiful room. Fabrice and Véronique were warm and very helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend. Only one word of warning to older folks: there is a quite a walk from the parking to the B&B over cobblestones and the stairs are small and steep. To me, this added to the charm, but might not be for everyone.

Can't say enough about this property. very close to the Pope's Palace in a 500 year old building, with a great breakfast to boot. Rooms were large and well appointed. The owners were very helpful and fun to be around. Highly recommended.

Steps from the Pope’s Palace the owners (Veronique and Fabrice) make you feel at home. Very comfortable and reasonable. Be aware there are steps to upper rooms. This is a 500 year old house so you feel like going back in time. We highly recommend.

La Banasterie is in an excellent central location for visiting all that Avignon has to offer. The hosts Fabrice and Véronique were charming and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and our suite delightful. The building is over 500 years old and has thick walls which means the fierce heat does not penetrate, though the ait conditioning did help us sleep comfortably. Lots of good restaurants within 1 to 10 minitues walk.
