Anemes

Anemes is a small lovely hotel in Avlemonas. It has cozy apartments of different sizes and decoration but always nice. The owners Paschalis and Mema together with the always smiling Matilda will make your stay unforgettable. The breakfast is always a great way to start the day: it's done express according to your desires and it's far away from the usual buffets of industrial food. There is only one pitfall: when you come you'll never wish to leave😍

Excellent hotel. Perfect location in Avlemanos, being just a very short 5 min walk to the village centre, where there are 3 tavernas and a cafe/bar. The hotel is extremely clean, with daily room service and regular change of bedding and towels. The room was spacious with good cooking facilities if needed and a balcony with spectacular views. The breakfasts are amazing (as other reviewers have noted!). Freshly prepared “to order” and the selection on offer was huge! Nothing was too much trouble and I have to give Matilda a huge thank you again as she looked after us so very well whilst Paschalis was on a brief trip to Athens. Also any queries we had, we emailed and had prompt responses from Mema who was very helpful and accommodated our changes and generally made our booking very easy. We had a wonderful 2 week break, feeling very at home here and can recommend this hotel without hesitation. I would definitely return. The island of Kythira is stunningly beautiful and Avlemanos was a good base to visit the whole of the (small) island. I would definitely recommend a hire car however.

What a find, as in accommodation, resort and island! We stayed at Anemes for nearly two weeks and were really well looked after by Paschalis and Mema, together with Matilda and Kim. This is an excellent accommodation in a great location, what a pleasure to wake up in the morning to lovely blue skies and views. Our room was spacious, extremely clean and very comfortable, with kitchen facilities to knock up a quick snack if you require. It is the first place we have stayed where your room is serviced every day. The air con is a great relief at night to make the sleeping easier. As reported the breakfasts are something else and it takes a couple of days to get your head around the great choice that is offered to you. Always prepared freshly for your choice. Breakfasts are an interesting time to join the jovial discussion of the other guests, together with Paschalis and Mema. Anemes was an excellent choice, providing a thoroughly relaxing vacation and a place we will return to, both for the hospitality of Paschalis, Mema, Matilda and Kim and the lovely unspoilt island of Kythera.

Super comfortabele kamer met prachtig uitzicht vanaf het balkon. Mooie en unieke badkamer. Perfect ontbijt. Hele vriendelijke gastvrouw en -heer! Avlemonas biedt diverse zwemmogelijkheden, goede restaurants en een fijne bar aan de haven. Echt een aanrader voor iedereen die Kythira bezoekt!

L'hotel è molto bello, spazioso, con tanto verde e una vista bellissima sul mare. L'ospitalità di Mema e Paschalis è stata splendida. Si sono prodigati per fare in modo che potessimo anticipare il check-in quando abbiamo comunicato che nostro figlio non si sentiva bene. La camera era molto spaziosa, attrezzata per cucinare anche se noi non abbiamo mai utilizzato l'angolo cottura, con pulizia giornaliera e cambio regolare di lenzuola e asciugamani. La colazione è davvero incredibile, c'è tanta scelta sia dolce che salata ed è tutto preparato al momento... uno spettacolo! E poiché il primo giorno non potevano esaudire una richiesta di nostra figlia, si sono organizzati per le colazioni dei giorni successivi. Davvero gentili e premurosi! Siamo stati benissimo e lo consiglio senza alcun dubbio!
