I was very happy during my stay, especially as I had read some negative reviews after making my booking. From the moment I arrived the staff were all very welcoming and happy to assist with any questions and asking me about my day on my return from skiing. The hotel is basic but my room was clean, my bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water & towels! The radiator in the room made it extremely warm, so just I turned it off apart from an hour or so on my return from skiing to dry my jacket etc. I plan on returning to Morzine next year and I would have no hesitation in booking again.

This was our first stay at Le Chablais. We requested a room on first floor as no lift. The afternoon check in is from 5pm and we did get a first floor room. Room was warm, clean and had adequate storage. Bed was comfortable. The location is very good for buses, restaurants and bars. We had breakfast which is extra. We would stay here again

Great location, great value, staff very helpful, would come back. Better than pictures on website. Would just like if rooms had daily cleaning and had some water on arrival.

After reading all the negative reviews, I was initially a bit hesitant to book, but having just returned from a 4-night stay, I can honestly say I have no complaints. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout however there are limited staffing hours . While the rooms were small and basic, they were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful, which was a great bonus. Breakfast was decent, too. The lack of an elevator was a minor inconvenience, but nothing too bothersome for me . The boot and ski room is conveniently located nearby. The location is fantastic—just a 3-minute walk to the bus stop and only 10 minutes to the gondola. For a budget hotel, this place exceeded my expectations, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay

Ideally located 10 mins walk from the Pleney Gondola in Morzine this hotel has friendly efficient and helpful staff. Basic and clean accommodation but no lift may be a problem for the less mobile. There is ski equipment storage around the corner. I didn't try food so can't comment on that. Great value!

Excellent value given location 5 mins from shops and lifts Old building of some character but not fully modernised (e.g. sound insulation is a bit lacking) but otherwise comfortable Staff very friendly and helpful, but note limited reception hours Its a village de vacances rather than a hotel and this is reflected in the style of the service and entertainment, if you go to french campsites that's what to expect

The hotels location is superb. We questioned booking due to the horrendous reviews! We treated the staff with kindness and in return can only say they were friendly. We didn't eat breakfast. The rooms are small and the bathroom tiny. It's very basic and having no lift would be hard for some Rooms are not cleaned and towels etc just left in a corridor should you need then. We paid a cheap price and just treated it as somewhere to sleep. We are glad we arrived in office hours or we would have had a nightmare. Our rooms (we has 3) were all clean and honestly if you're on a tight budget, the location out ways the hotel. Thanks

Got locked out room and had to sleep on floor outside. No way to contact reception out of hours. Not a safe place to stay. Run down, dirty and lacks professionalism. Rooms are tiny and claustrophobic. After a day of skiing you just want a nice shower and to rest. Shower/toilet is a horrible plastic box (imagine a vintage aeroplane toilet!). Room was above bar, couldn’t rest either. If you aren’t fit and strong avoid, there is no lift and no assistance with luggage.

Saw the bad reviews about this place but decided to risk it anyway due to limited options, hotel had the better minimum but that was expected, main issue was the disgustingly rude and arrogant staff at the reception Ellie only method of communication was to belittle and insult
