Lewi Resort and Spa

Guys I was here to stay for 2 days, although I extended my stay for another 2 days. I had a very pleasant ☺️ moment at Lewi. The views and the people I met are very respectful and humble. The food and beverage are magnificent and most specifically the fruit are very fresh and unforgettable test. I defiantly come back soon.

Maybe it has been something like a resort in the 90's. The rooms need a serious design refresh, and an upgraded repair for all the facilities ( from the electric kettle to the sink siphon). There is too many staff in the restaurant room, it looks like they are a little bit jobless and kid of jump on you when you step in. The ground floor is build at the same level as the lake, so when it's overflowing after rain season, the resort has to pump all day long to re pour the water into the lake (rooms with view on the lake are noisy because of the pomp, all night long either). The swimming pool is quite OK from the outside, but you will find little tiles which come off from the bottom. But the masterpiece of this resort is one of the guy at the welcoming desk, that openly stole us 300 birrs in cash, pretending that it was lacking from the rooms fee we just paid (cash, in front of him). So one advise: go your way and have a nice time in Haile resort if you look for a real one.

While I was there, there was a wedding under our window. It felt like we were inside the wedding. They didn't even bother to inform us... the room is cramped and almost windowless. There was no ventilation window in the bathroom. The food was cold, there was no dinner at the hotel because there was a wedding..

Honestly speaking I didn't expect this from such an amazing resort,the Customer service were terrible and some of staff at the hotel were rude and unhelpfulI would not recommend Lewi Hotel Hawassa to anyone.provides subpar service It is a scamming resort that is taking your money using pos machine, then you start to beg for your own money for refund.

Great location on Lake Hawassa. We had a lake view room which was very nice and spacious. Rooms cleaned every day. There was lots of choice for Breakfast and lunch & evening menu had a mix of European and local which was tasty. They habe plenty of stsff who are very attentive to your needs. They have a city tour and a boat tour which is included in the hotel price. The only downside was they messed us about all day and had us waiting 6 hrs for the city tour - kept saying it was coming or on its way. or that it was herefor us, and when we went for it twice, it had gone. That was the only disappointing thing. I'd expect the reception staff to be more honest to there paying guests.

The hotel is fairly good, right on the water front; the rooms are well kept and clean, staff are pleasant too. There is still a lot of construction and renovation work going on such as the pool is under repair and spa services are currently unavailable. All in all a good spot for Hawassa.
