Rooms are spacious and staff very nice we went half board that was a mistake the food was awful The breakfast was cold and not very inviting same in the evening meat balls one night and cheese board for starters!!! Will return to this hotel if in the area but will go room only

Just back from a fantastic week at Isla Canela Golf Hotel, here follows our review. We were 3 single figure handicap and a 21 handicap golfers from Glasgow area, first time at 4* Isla Canela Hotel and Golf for 6 rounds of golf in late Sept / early October. We booked through Golfbreaks (service from Joey was once again excellent), and would most certainly return to this hotel and the golf courses. Third time to this area of Spain in the last year (previously El Rompido and Islantilla). We had great flights with Ryanair from Prestwick to Faro, all on time. Private minibus transfer from Faro Airport to Isla Canela with Bravo Tur (arranged by Golfbreaks) was just 50 mins along the motorway from Portugal into Spain. Key points were : Staff at hotel and two clubhouses were friendly and attentive at all times. Hotel far better than we had expected, rooms modern and clean, and very quiet. We were on half board, breakfast buffet spot on, it was a set 4 course dinner at night, we'd have preferred a buffet, but could not fault the quality. Restaurant Manager very helpful if you wanted something different which was a nice touch. A pint of Cruzcampo beer was 4.80 euros throughout the hotel and clubhouses. We played the Old Course (300 yards from the Hotel) 3 times and the Links Course (a 10-15 min free of charge mini bus ride away from the hotel), also 3 times. Two very different type of coures, and a pleasure to play both. Both courses in excellent condition, the greens at both were amazing. Buggies were 40 euros each but they had a discount deal of 30 euros per buggy if you booked and prepaid for 10 buggies (which savus us 100 euros), which we did on our first day. No juice buggies on either course, so take plenty of water - it was roasting ! On our last night we went in to the local town of Ayamonte - 10 euro each way in a taxi - place was buzzing - plenty of bars & restuarants all close to the harbour. We found a chinese restuarant and it was excellent. Bars were selling pints of Cruzcampo for 4.00 euros. We should have gone into town more often ! No issues or complaints at all on our golf week, it was excellent, will definately return.

This is a fantastic resort, the rooms were great and the staff could not do enough for us. There were 20 of us and no one could fault our stay. Played both courses a total of 5 times( 3 old and 2 links) over 7 days, some of the views are glorious. Take a walk into Ayamonte you will not be disappointed. It’s a bustling harbour town with great tapas. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed on the complex last year, but in the apartments.Slightly disappointed with the rooms , although perfectly functional they were a bit old fashioned and a fairly long walk with clubs to the first tee. In fact two of our party decided to ring a cab to get from the apartments to the pro shop!! Although more expensive we decided to book the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. Hotel rooms far superior , with modern furnishings, tea and coffee making facilities and super comfortable bed. Breakfast, as seems now standard in “golf “hotels, was extensive and excellent. The golf course was in super condition and although quite long and testing was playable for all standards of golfer. Hotel was very quiet for our visit ( pre season before Easter) but we found the staff very helpful and the room cleaners made an immaculate job. Hotel is a cab ride away from the town which we found a bit of a let down , however it was early season. Keen golfers,quiet couples break would all be well catered for in this hotel.Many other golf courses virtually on the doorstep.Booked through golf breaks at a great price. Highly recommended for some early season sunshine on a challenging golf course.

Klein hotel met twee golfbanen in het pakket, 4 gangen diner mogelijk, op zich goed gegeten, beter dan een buffet, je kunt altijd aangeven of je iets niet lust of wat grotere porties wil. Heel vriendelijk personeel, goed verzorgde en schone kamers. De deur mag iets beter qua geluidsisolatie en een tapijt voor rolkoffers in de gang zou eigenlijk moeten. Prima verblijf gehad en soms wat vroeg wakker als een groep uitcheckte. De golfbanen zijn goed de links baan uitdagend, de old course stond in toeristen stand qua afstand op sommige holes.

Hotel muy tranquilo y muy agradable.A lado mismo del campo de golf. Personal muy atento y muy amable. Buen desayuno. Volvere. Por poner alguna pega, diria que la media pension es muy estricta y no ofrece variaciones. Lo mejor seria poner dos platos a escoger. Lo que si habrian de sustituir es el jamon en el desayuno. No puede ser que en la tierra del mejor jamon del mundo te pongan ese jamon .

Instalaciones excelentes y limpias. El trato del personal muy cordial y amable. Eficacia en los horarios y en el servicio de habitaciones. Recomiendo éste hotel, como lugar de vacaciones por su ubicación y cercanía con núcleos de deporte y recreo, asi como con visitas a Portugal.

Em Julho deste ano eu e o meu marido regressamos a Isla Canela onde já tínhamos estado há cerca de 6 anos atrás. A estância balnear de Isla Canela é um local extremamente sossegado mesmo no Verão, que fica na província de Huelva, perto da fronteira portuguesa. Isla Canela é uma ilha natural unida a Ayamonte por uma ponte. Esta micro ilha tem uma população residente de apenas 250 pessoas. O trecho de 7 Kms de belas praias de areia dourada são a atracção principal desta estância. O ambiente natural protegido tem uma fauna rica e canais navegáveis. Desta vez optámos pelo hotel Isla Canela Golf, pois queríamos mesmo descansar e pareceu-nos a melhor opção. A localização do hotel não é a melhor, fica a cerca de 3kms das praias. Contudo fica mais perto da cidade e num local mesmo muito sossegado. O nosso quarto era bastante agradável e espaçoso. O hotel possui uma piscina exterior e um campo de golf. Os espaços do hotel denotavam bom gosto e algum requinte na sua decoração. O pessoal era eficiente e simpático, especialmente a funcionária brasileira do restaurante com quem naturalmente nós criamos uma relação de empatia automática. Como notas menos positivas devo mencionar os mosquitos, que são mesmo um problema a ter em consideração, eu fui mordida repetidas vezes mesmo com repelente. Também tenho de referir que o pequeno-almoço me dececionou, pois esperava que um hotel desta qualidade apresentasse mais variedade, nomeadamente a nível de pastelaria. Relativamente ao jantar (nós estávamos em regime de meia-pensão) apesar de excelente, tinha qualidade gourmet deixou muito a desejar nas quantidades, creio que pagar cerca de 35 eur por pessoa sem bebidas e ficar com fome não é de todo agradável.

Habitacion amplia con vistas al campo de golf , muy limpia . Muy tranquilo con amplia terraza y jardin .El personal muy agradable y atentos . Ideal para pasar unos dias de descanso aunque no juguemos al golf .
