Arrived 3 am No separate rooms as booked asked to share. Refused so transferred by TUI to another hotel. Returned later in the morning. After talking to several other groups of people staying at this hotel, we found out that this had happened to many of them with some of them being shipped to other hotels for anything up to 3 days of their holiday. Some have been told it was due to maintenance problems. Others were told that they were overbooked. Hotel description. The hotel is described as a four star hotel, In our opinion, this was at best a three star hotel or less for a number of reasons. The description of the hotel advised that there was an à la carte restaurant. There was no such thing. There was one buffet section/eating area, which was used for breakfast, lunch and evening dinner. The other option was at lunchtime, which was a snack bar near the pool. Whilst the pool and surrounding area were absolutely fine, there was a Jacuzzi area which at no time was operating. We were advised by other guests & staff that this had not been working for over a year, Therefore, we did not have use of this facility during our stay. Food & drink The standard of the food and drink at this hotel, we’re absolutely dreadful. Despite the descriptions of nightly themes for the food, this was not adhered to. The food was practically the same every single breakfast, dinner and lunch option. The dessert options were very poor & limited, and repeated every single lunchtime and evening. There were no fresh cooking stations at any time, except in the evening sometimes where a single option of a cooked meat was available. At breakfast, there were no egg station Which we and other guests were very surprised about. None of the food detailed contents for allergy or gluten awareness which we felt was extremely irresponsible. Rarely any fresh fruit. Food lukewarm. The local drinks that were offered were so vile that we ended up along with a lot of other guests going across to the local supermarkets to purchase drinks for ourselves. Most of the time in the bar we noticed all drinks were served in Plastic cups- while we expect this poolside and from the pool bar to not get your drinks in a glass in the evening was sub-standard for a supposed 4* hotel! This was also a feature of the buffet room, Not all the time, but generally most of the time. Bottles of water were not supplied to everyone in their room when they arrived. It was with great difficulty that we managed to get a starter bottle so that we had something to refill throughout the holiday. Some of the other guests didn’t even know they could refill their bottles so were buying it all from the shop we felt that this was a deliberate move by the hotel & the communication from reception was Rubbish. There were not enough staff to serve customers. Some people waited 15 to 20 minutes at both the pool bar and the inside bar for drinks. The queues were unacceptable and people were getting very agitated. As for the
