Dome Beach Marina Hotel & Resort

AVOID ! Arrived slightly late due to late inbound flight (it happens) - greeted with “ the freshest of sandwiches” it was stale. I suffer with sleep apnea and require a CPAP Machine require to help me breathe and sleep. There are no Socket outlets in my room, apparently no rooms have this basic facility. In 2024 I guess when people have had mobile phones for at least 20 years, this would have come up as a problem. ? Apparently not. The rooms are tiny. Not well decorated (looks like an attempt at a makeover). Just painting over crack if you ask me.. the balcony is tiny, there is vomit on the roof below our Balcony! There is silicone over the shower tray the balcony door doesn’t open easily it’s tough possibly slightly worn/Broken. The rooms are basic the images must be photoshopped within inch of their lives. We typically resort in 5* Accommodation, so if you also do, this isn’t the place for you. Food is Basic not great choice - The Staff are very reluctant, to help barman lazing of the soft when I approached the bar and he she shrugged and pointed and looked inconvenienced that he had to do work?! When I went down to explain to the reception re my CPAP he was largely unsupportive and unsympathetic. He asked why didn’t I let them know as if it was my fault. I just took for granted with over 30years of travelling that a bedside socket is standard even for a 4* Hotel. This place is barely a 3* IMHO I’ve contacted the rep and asked to a transfer on the grounds of medical discrimination I’ll be waiting for a response from Jet 2. It can come soon enough. It’s Saturday. Today and they apparently only attend Sunday? But the phone line said it’s a Monday. So not a clue when the rep is in or if they’ll make the call to me today as requested and earlier promised...?? We have booked our 2025 break in May already to another destination if this isn’t sorted I’ll be cancelling it never to return to Jet 2. But in all fairness I’ve never had an issue in 2 Years of flying/Holidaying with them. If my rep is reading this, please help us.

We had such a brilliant time here, the position of the hotel was perfect next to two beautiful beaches. We travelled with a 5 year old and my 78 year old mother in law and it was perfect for both as everything was really close by, easy to get to beach and back to restaurant just behind it. The rooms were lovely and had a great sea view and also quiet. We had also requested interconnecting rooms which we were given which was ideal. The beach bar was so convenient there was never any queues anywhere and we travelled in October half term. The hotel beach was great for snorkeling the water was so clear, calm and so sheltered. It faces a different way to the public busier beach next door so whereas that was quite choppy due to the breezy weather our side was sheltered and beautiful. Loungers were so comfy and free in the week you have to pay at weekend. My daughter enjoyed kids pool and slides but needed her wetsuit as it was colder than the sea at the end of October she also enjoyed popping into the kids club at the end of the day for face painting. If you’re looking for a peaceful beach break this is perfect. I would definitely return here.

I would like to highlight couple of things about this hotel and staff. The cleanliness of the facility was very satisfying - room was cleaned every day, new towels, new amenity kits in the bathroom. The food - a wide variety of the dishes, salads, different kind of meats, side dishes, fruit, ice cream, desserts - everything was presented nicely and didn’t miss anything. The staff was constantly asking about your beverages (alcoholic/ non alocoholic). The beach - there are couple of beaches around the hotel, one belongs to hotel however it’s bit rocky at the beginning of the sea, I personally used a public beach which was beautiful and sunbed/umbrella cost me 2,50€ each per day. During summer period it’s bit crowded but still pleasant. My great appreciation goes to MARIA - she is responsible for customer service in the hotel. I found her highly professional, friendly and 100% dedicated to her job. Even if I shared my concern with her she immediately took an action and made sure my stay was brilliant. I observed she is very attentive, detailed oriented and she is making sure all day long the guests are happy. Overall I would recommend this hotel maybe I would just suggest to higher management to provide a shuttle from/to airport since it takes approximately 30min by taxi.
