At first glance the property looked lovely. Driving in we were excited. Reception was NOT great. The fellow barely spoke and was not friendly Entering the room, all looked good. The bad? Beds way too soft Shower wouldn’t regulate heat. Knob fell off the sink, no cold water Toilet wouldn’t flush properly and appeared like it would overflow Phone didn’t work- tried to call front desk but there was no dial tone. Had to walk up to reception because the wifi code was nowhere to be seen in the room Very basic If I were paying $100, I could kinda justify all that was wrong with this place - but we felt it was way overpriced for all that was wrong. We didn’t stay for breakfast (looked for basics like fruit or a muffin - nothing) so can’t otherwise comment. Be prepared if you think this long list is acceptable for $158/night

Motel with large two floor set of rooms at the back. We were on second floor which had lovely lake view. Room ok, rather tired decor but clean and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was minimal - all on diposable plates etc but coffee was ok and there was assortment of toast, bagels etc. We didn't try the scrambled egg or the rounds of sausagemeat. An element of getting what you pay for, not luxurious but acceptable. A bit far out of town so needed the car to head for Freight Shed

The rooms were very tired. We had a speed bump in the middle of our room that we would be tripping on going to the washroom. These rooms definitely have to be redone as they do not match what is represented by looking at the exterior. The breakfast that is offered is cold and greasy . The coffee offered at the Continental breakfast is coloured water. The only thing edible was the toast. I will definitely not be staying here again.

Very run down! The beds are comfortable. Towels are awful. Bathroom was mouldy. Very stale smell in unit when we arrived. Door had a huge gap around it and wouldn’t close easily and allowed a constant draft. Outside chairs were all cracked. Breakfast was watered down coffee and toast. The grounds were nice.

We arrived at the lodge with no reservation. I asked if better to booked through booking or then. He told me them. So I did and proceeded to fill in the form. Went to our room. It’s smelled like mildew and the sheets on the bed were damp. I have sever asthma so my husband went to see the front desk for a refund as there is no way I could spend the night there. He told him that the system doesn’t do refund. It wasn’t possible. He then proceeded to show me 2 more rooms and they were a bit upgraded but upon opening the door it was the same smell. I asked him again to give me my money back as I was really not satisfied with any of the room. He said no. The system doesn’t do refund. So we lost the money we had to this place who basically robbed us and had to book another hotel as we were 5 hours away from him. Do not go here. Front desk personnel was not professional. How can you rob someone of $200 when someone has health issues and can’t breath when being in one of your room. Would never ever ever recommend this place. Outdated hotel rude staff and thief’s.

THIS OWNER WILL STEAL FROM YOU!! .. We booked this place and upon arrival they charged us the full amount witch is not standard process. Usually Hotels do not charge right away, they place a hold deposit WTV. He gave us our room and upon opening the door.. THE SMELL OF MOLD was overwhelming the floors where warped and everything was damp and wet and black residue on the baseboards. Went back to the office and told this to the manager, he looked at me like I was crazy. I said very nicely, we appreciate your help, but we would like to cancel this hotel and go to another place. immediately told me "No Refunds" me... "I don't want a refund" I just don't want to stay here Keep the deposit I said. This guy charged us the whole price and told me the Software on his PC dose no allow refunds. We travel a lot, never seen anything like this before. Do yourself a favored pay the extra 50$ and stay across the street at the Inverary resort 5 star all day long clean rooms lots of restaurant options grounds are amazing.
