Really nice hotel and the staff are super. There is a 3-pin plug in the bathroom really close to the shower. Might suggest trying to have that closed off as not entirely safe. Otherwise we had a lovely one night stay. The manager/owner in particular is a really good bloke.

A different experience since the rooms we stayed in were converted sea containers, but what a great idea and good atmosphare. The surroundings are outside Ella with nature close, and a view to the famous train in the hillside. The staff was very friendly and happy, so we really enjoyed our short stay here.

My daughter and I spent our last two nights in Sri Lanka here in a deluxe room with balcony . I wouldn’t exactly call it deluxe but it was very comfortable and practical . It was the cheapest hotel we stayed in on our trip and we were very pleased with it . It was very quiet at night - no barking dogs or road noise as we had in other hotels . Plenty of electric sockets , and the first hotel where they actually give you one large and one small towel each ! We even got robes . Breakfast was great . We only wanted fruit and toast but you could have full Sri Lankan if you wanted or eggs etc . We had dinner there too and that was all freshly cooked and very nice ( and cheap ! ) We didn’t love their shower gels or soap but we had our own so that was ok and it was adequate for the price point . Staff super nice and very helpful .

We had a wonderful stay at The Cubes last week. The room was modern, clean and had a really breathtaking view. The guys at the Hotel could not have looked after us better. They gave us advice on Tuk Tuk prices into town and the best restaurant ever. The breakfast was just delicious and even gave me more coconut sambal, as I enjoyed it so much. Would thoroughly recommend. Thank you for our great stay.

This hotel was everything we needed. In a quiet location, close to the train station and the staff were wonderful before and during our stay. The room was great with lovely views. Its also great value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious, with a modern decor, a balcony with a view, and a smart tv. Breakfast was ordered the night before and was delicious and plentiful. The hotel is a short walk or Tuk Tuk into Ella, and has a peaceful setting. However the main reason to book this hotel is the staff who couldn’t do enough and helped us enormously with an issue we had. If you can get in, book this hotel, you’ll not regret it.

Just outside Ella, this new place (opened in 2023) is what we were looking for; close to Ella, but not part of it. The setting is great, offering nice views from our balcony. Breakfast was very tasteful, with lots of local fruit. You can have lunch/diner and there is a bar. Staff was very kind and helpful, the owner as well.
