Jetwing Warwick Gardens

What a delightful destination. A Scottish style Edwardian House in the middle of Sri Lanka. We were warmly welcomed by Ruba, who met us and transported our luggage to our room. He made tea and explained details that we needed for our stay. The 'Warwick' room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom offered a super bath as well as a shower. The views from the windows were magnificent. There was an excellent choice of food, all served by Ruba with such gracefulness. On our second day, Ruba offered us a guided tour of the tea plantation around the hillside, where village houses, a school and fields/allotments are sited. He also informed us of the history of Warwick Gardens and showed us the tea factory. It was all very interesting. The gardens of the house are immaculate and all was very peaceful. Ruba was a magnificent host and I am sure that he will go far in his ambitions within Hotel Management, and even in his desire to play cricket. Thank you for your hospitality, a truly memorable experience.

Lovely visit at an idyllic setting with unparalleled views. Very comfortable rooms, delicious food and excellent service from Ruba and Prashanth. Ruba was exceptionally hard working and welcoming and took us on an excellent walk on the private tea estate. A very special stay!!

The property is the ideal spot to unwind with the family because everything is tidy. The staff is giving us the best service we have ever received in a place like this. The dinner was delicious and well-served. I hope to return shortly with the family.

Wonderful location, very peaceful setting. We were very well looked after by the staff, especially Ruba who took us on an interesting walk around the area. Food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Try and get an Upstairs bedroom if you can. The housekeeper, Meena, was also delightful.

A very special experience. The setting is exquisite, high among the tea plantations and surrounded by bird life. Sri Lanka curries were delicious, slightly toned down for Western palates but not too much. Rupa and the other staff were very attentive. Highlight was a walk around the estate with Rupa which gave a very good behind-the-scenes insight into life on the plantations then and now, as well as local agriculture and the investments in sustainability being made by Jetwing such as the spring water bottling and purification plant. The steep and bumpy track needs investment (or else the hotel should facilitate transport from the main road) but this is a minor point. A place of utter tranquillity.

The welcome is truly exceptional. And me could almost be at home in this charming tea planters house. We enjoyed so many experiences from the tea walk to seeing how they make their own special top grade teas, to enjoying it in the delightful gardens. Rupa is a consummate professional. He will go far in this industry for sure and is destined to be a star in the Jetwing firmament. Thank you all for sharing this experience with us.
