Jetwing Warwick Gardens, A Luxury Reserve

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in the beautiful Warwick Gardens house. The staff were considerate and friendly. The surroundings are spectacular and the connections to the tea estate were clearly explained. So peaceful and stylish that we wished we could stay longer.

What a delightful destination. A Scottish style Edwardian House in the middle of Sri Lanka. We were warmly welcomed by Ruba, who met us and transported our luggage to our room. He made tea and explained details that we needed for our stay. The 'Warwick' room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom offered a super bath as well as a shower. The views from the windows were magnificent. There was an excellent choice of food, all served by Ruba with such gracefulness. On our second day, Ruba offered us a guided tour of the tea plantation around the hillside, where village houses, a school and fields/allotments are sited. He also informed us of the history of Warwick Gardens and showed us the tea factory. It was all very interesting. The gardens of the house are immaculate and all was very peaceful. Ruba was a magnificent host and I am sure that he will go far in his ambitions within Hotel Management, and even in his desire to play cricket. Thank you for your hospitality, a truly memorable experience.

A very special place!!! It was the most peaceful stay of our trip with a beautiful view surrounded by tea plantations and villages, delicious food and the most welcoming and attentive staff. With only 5 rooms, it was great to have dinner with the other guests on a communal table and almost felt like we were at home with friends. Our room (the master room) was spacious with a beautiful view to the garden and the bed was the most comfortable of our stay in Sri Lanka. We very much enjoyed a walk with Ruba to the village and surrounding. He was so generous with parting with his knowledge and experience of life in his village. During our stay, nothing was too much for Ruba. Thank you for a wonderful stay to all the staff at Warwick Gardens.

The property is the ideal spot to unwind with the family because everything is tidy. The staff is giving us the best service we have ever received in a place like this. The dinner was delicious and well-served. I hope to return shortly with the family.

a very pretty colonial house accessed by a vertiginous and pitoresque path. beautiful period decoration. attentive staff. magnificent garden with many different birds. quiet and comfortable. delicious breakfast and dinner. you feel like a guest.

A very special experience. The setting is exquisite, high among the tea plantations and surrounded by bird life. Sri Lanka curries were delicious, slightly toned down for Western palates but not too much. Rupa and the other staff were very attentive. Highlight was a walk around the estate with Rupa which gave a very good behind-the-scenes insight into life on the plantations then and now, as well as local agriculture and the investments in sustainability being made by Jetwing such as the spring water bottling and purification plant. The steep and bumpy track needs investment (or else the hotel should facilitate transport from the main road) but this is a minor point. A place of utter tranquillity.
