Agutipaca Bungalows

We were so happy with our stay! Everyone was so nice and our bungalow was very cute and clean. We felt very safe and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and we saw a lot of wildlife: toucans, parakeets, sloths and monkeys! We stayed 4 nights and would have loved to stay longer. Our breakfasts delivered to our bungalow were wonderful too! We like to hike and there were a lot of great trails to explore in this area! Loved it!!

We stay for 5 nights and would’ve stayed forever! Beautiful, conveniently located property. Manuel gave a very informative tour of the flora and fauna on the property. By the first full day we had already seen 3 Collard Aracari toucans having a snack together, 1 Keel-billed toucan, a large troop of capuchin causing trouble in the trees less than 100 feet from our bungalow, and the troop of howlers that live on the property. Ramiro is the bestest boy and we miss him coming over for pets. Flory’s full breakfasts were wonderful, with eggs, meat, beans, homemade sweetbreads, fresh fruit, and pure fruit juice. The staff are excellent Meli was great with communication and answering any questions we had. Angie took us on a walk to see sloths and a beautiful spot with side by side waterfalls. She was so nice to offer to do so. Alejandro and Jess are two local students studying tourism, they were so eager to help with anything we needed or any questions. Their futures hold great things! They found one of the resident sloths hanging out very visible one morning, but we were hiking. They stopped us as soon as we arrived back to show us the sloth and that was so kind of them to watch for us. And the Gloria, thank you for resetting the AC 😉. This location is close to several great restaurants. They are only 30 minutes from Tenorio Volcan/Rio Celeste National Park. We will be back

While I could talk about how clean, comfortable, and quiet the room was or how the included breakfast was one of the most delicious meals that I had in Costa Rica or how easy it was to find - and they were all great - all of that pales in comparison to the following: I arrived late in the evening with a flat tire. The next morning, after Ana and I failed to get the spare tire on my car, she offered to loan me her car and deal with the roadside assistance mechanic that was on his way so that I could still make it to my scheduled hike. A woman that I had just met ever so briefly the previous night handed me the keys to her car so that I wouldn't miss something that was ultimately not even that critical or time sensitive. 10 out of 5 stars isn't enough to even describe that quality of service!

This adorable family owned collection of bungalows was the perfect stay for our family. The owner took us on an amazing tour of their property when we arrived. We saw a toucan in the morning, hummingbirds, and howler monkeys woke us up bright and early! The rooms were very clean, breakfast was on time and delicious, and the AC worked well. The beds are very firm but I appreciated the cleanliness. The family was so friendly and accommodating. Very peaceful property.

We loved everything about the Agutipaca Bungalows -- the spacious, lovely rooms, the gardens and pool and grounds, and the friendly and helpful staff of 5 family members. The breakfasts, served in each room, were delicious. It was about 20-25 minutes from the Tenorio national park and only 15 minutes from a variety of tours and activities. Birds abound and the 2d morning there were howler monkeys a 10 minute walk down the road. Manuel, the proprietor, has the knowledge of a botanist and was eager to tour us around but we had no time. Stay here! You won't regret it.

Modern, comfortable and clean bungalow in a nice green setting. The concrete bungalows are modern equiped to western standards. Our had a great terrace with 2 hammoks. Perfect for having breakfast, reading a book and planning tour activities and trip. There is wifi, but it isn’t very fast. Good enough to plan your trip but not for streaming. The breakfast was awesome with fresh ingredients and juice. If you don’t want to cooke dinner, there’s a very good restaurant on 2km driving. The prefered methode of payment is cash. So male sure to stop at an atm an your way to the accomodation. (The nearest is at Bijagua) Highly recommended!
