Typic Marina Playa - Adults Only

This was our first stay at the Marina Playa but will not be our last. We treated ourselves to a superior room with its own day bed! The views are spectacular as is everything else about the hotel. The staff are so friendly, the rooms are huge, the breakfast .... well, you need to see that for yourself, everything you could wish for on a tray, superb! The only negative was that we didn't stay long enough, definitely longer next time.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Hotel is spotlessly clean and has a lovely smell throughout, room was spacious and had everything we needed - sea view was exceptional. Welcome drinks, sweet trolley and bracelet were all lovely touches but it’s really the staff that make this hotel 5+ stars - everyone from the manger to the reception staff to the bar staff to the cleaning staff were always so friendly and welcoming. Particular mention to Melanie who helped us out massively and was so compassionate during a medical issue we had. We’ve been home for 3 days and are already looking at dates to return to this hotel next year - have been coming to Ibiza for over 12 years and this is the first time we’ve said this. This hotel is fantastic. It is very easy to see why it is so highly rated on this website. The position is perfect; right in front of Playa Es Pouet beach; with supermarkets, restaurants and a taxi rank very close by; and it is only a ten minute walk round to the start of San Antonio (I’ve selected O Beach as this point). Upon arrival we were greeted with smiling faces and a welcome drink! We had booked a sea view studio (209) which overlooked the pool terrace and had amazing views out to sea. It was spacious, clean, had a large balcony, a kitchenette (which we didn’t use), and a lovely bathroom with a great shower. All the areas are immaculately clean. The pool terrace and bar area is great, with sun all day, and plenty of loungers, day beds and parasols. There are panoramic views of the bay, and a DJ plays chilled house music from 1pm onwards. All the staff are so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Special mention to Enrique on the terrace for keeping me hydrated every afternoon! The food was really good. We had the continental breakfast one morning, as well as a pizza and nachos during the day. Served promptly, very tasty, and very much enjoyed sat on the terrace looking out into the bay. The food and drink is possibly a bit on the expensive side (€7 for a bottle of Corona, €14 for a pink gin and lemonade, €13 for nachos with cheese), but I don’t mind that too much, cos it tends to keep the riff raff out! I’d say the clientele is mainly groups of girls and couples. There was a few hen do’s staying there. But I wouldn’t say its a stag do sort of place. It’s a bit too chilled for that. Overall I cannot fault this place at all, and will definitely return!
