A quiet place, full of nature, awesome sunsets and sunrises, they are eco friendly, and highly requested, fishing spots nearby, close to the main airport, make sure to call for reservations with time.

Easy to see why this is a hidden gem. Fantastic fresh simple food created by a dedicated local team, stunning views from the welcoming and relaxing lodge, and finally the warm and gracious host Jose. This was my second time at Mapara and I will definitely be back for a third visit. You will come away refreshed and invigorated after spending time here. Great job Jose and team keep up the good work.

I really enjoyed my stay at Mapara Lodge. The location is secluded and beautiful. The cabins are basic but comfortable. No AC, but didn't really feel like I needed it. Hot water was surprisingly good in the shower (needed it after getting rained on all day fishing). Wifi was iffy and mostly didn't work, but didn't go there for Wifi. On a private beach with no one else around. Food was ok; no stomach problems at all which was great. Despite it raining quite a bit in the evenings, there were shockingly few mosquitoes. I never had to put on repellent and maybe got one or two bites.

Un lieu unique, un accueil hors pair, une nature fabuleuse, un restaurant agreable. Ce lieu est magique. sortir de sa chambre le matin, faire 10 metres et plonger dans un océan magnifique, quel luxe !
