We’ve spent 2 nights at peak season and we ve thought to find 5 stars service and we’ve found 5 buckets about side our doors full of water and humidity…. Service was basically boring and low standard. Food good but not way to have a bill of 2.000euro to stay like favellas…

This is a double review, we first went June 22 and so enjoyed it we returned June 23, so here goes! First visit was of note due to a very small error that held us from checking in for 30 minutes, reception staff came to apologise then all was sorted. However, not the end of the story, we had a nock on the door and the person concerned apologies in person, I said "hey, small mistake and thanks for the honesty and courtesy" OK we thought. Another nock on the door, this time the guest relations manager, could not have been more kind, bringing with him a trolley of ice and champagne on the house and a small gateaux for my wife's birthday!! Wow how professional. Always a cliche, but it's how you resolve an issue, however small, that shows professionalism. Top marks! Many thanks to all the staff. So we return in June this year, utterly flawless and although we never mentioned it, they remembered my wife's birthday from 2022 with many greeting and another cake, very touching. The restaurant (3*) Stunning on both occasions. The service, sommelier and front of house, coordination are flawless, a lesson to anyone that wants to experience perfect service, attentive, but not over the top, even the look of the staff and restaurant style are perfect. You only needed to look up and someone one is with you. Food. OK I am a really good home chef and know what I'm doing, BUT, the dishes here blew us a way. Fantastic achievement, inventive , interesting. Sauces in particular were divine. We had one comment though, the portions are generous for Michelin standard, the first time we had the large discovery menu, but on our return had the À la carte, that suited us better, there is a smaller set menu as well. Don't take this as criticism, it's just a generous menu. 2 Staff in the hotel and 2 in the restaurant recognised us from a June 22, a very warm greeting. On leaving, someone came out to give us bottled water as we left. Utter class. So overall, warm, unpretentious and laid back venue. We will be back in 24! Best wishes to all the staff both in the restaurant and hotel. Great memories.

Two night stay. Excellent visit. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Good sized room with a big balcony overlooking the forest and valley. Very well maintained. The food was good. Expansive pools and extensive hiking trails. Has a fun cooking class.

A historic hotel more than 200 years old. Lovely surroundings and well appointed rooms. A lovely breakfast spread as well. The only negative point are the very inadequate pillows. Ideal for a weekend getaway if you want a tranquil place to idle away. Do not miss trying the 3 restaurants run by the hotel, especially the casual one serving local fare.

The hotel is situated in lovely settings, the rooms are (near) perfection, the service is very friendly and adequate, walks are being organised, and also bike tours, gym, aqua gym .... and, last but not least, you can choose from a wide variety of food, in the morning as well as in the evening !!!

This was suppposed to be a nice family dinner but it turned out to be a dreadful experience. The dinner started very nicely with a very friendly waiter who was attentive and very helpful. After our main meals were served, the waiter disappeared and it took hours to order and receive our desserts and the check. We could have left without paying as the staff present just waived us goodbye! We ordered the piece of beef for 2 and that was a rip-off! There was no way we received 650g. If you really want to go there, just stick to the local specials and arrive at 6pm, hoping that there will still be a waiter when you’re done. Please note that parking is extremely difficult especially when valet parking is not indicated.
