Grand Hotel Smeraldo Beach

The hotel couldn’t have a more perfect setting with its own little beach and several pools I guess some people could say the rooms aren’t ultra modern, but they are spotlessly clean, and the Mediterranean feel is part of their charm. The communal areas are tastefully decorated and the staff go above and beyond to be as polite and helpful as possible. Breakfast has lots of choice, and though we only ate in the restaurant once, the food was very good. It is only a ten minute walk to a lively waterfront area with lots of bars and restaurants, which worked for us as we didn’t book the half board option. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others

A hotel that impressed from the first step through the gate: beautifully landscaped surroundings (lots of flowers, plants that spread a pleasant coolness), pleasant staff (from the receptionist who greeted us with a smile and delighted us with the opportunity to get a room immediately upon arrival at 11 am; cheerful and pleasant restaurant staff who created a cheerful presentation of dishes every evening; smiling and very good cleaning, unobtrusive maids who cleaned the room when we were not in the room (it was nice to return to a clean, fragrant room with dazzling white bedding, comfortable pillows and clean-smelling towels); a gardener who watered the plants every morning and...

Given a family room for a 60+ couple, either side of us were families with very young babies, kept awake most nights with crying! Young lady on reception was soooo miserable, we asked for a copy of our bill but someone had to take over, I asked why she had no smile, he said it's because she had worked 7-9am & was stressed!

Staying at this hotel now. We Always check reviews on trip advisor before we go anywhere. Have to say we don’t recognise the views of some travellers in previous comments of this hotel. Our experience so far is that it is amazing, the views from the sea facing rooms are fantastic. The rooms are very Italian , Not big ultra modern with big bathrooms etc. but a good size and simply decorated ( some would say old fashioned). Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and have what you need. The staff are very good and the food is very good. Four course meal every evening served to the table feels special. How many hotels now do you get where tables have table cloths changed at each setting. Beautiful beach. Lovely relaxing and reclining deckchairs ( came down at 9am and there were plenty left on the beach) . The one thing we agree on is that if you have mobility problems, this hotel is definitely not for you. There are a lot os steps to the different terraces and uneven in places. The shower could be hotter. To date will give the hotel, food and staff the full 5stars Final note is that Baia Sardinia is quite an expensive area.

Unique and charming hotel with amazing views of the sea and mountains. The hotel has its own lovely private beach with white sand and clear waters. There are various pools and loungers spread around the lovely and well kept grounds of the hotel . Staff are friendly and very helpful. Cleaning service of the room was excellent. Breakfast was good with lovely breads and pastries. In our opinion providing fresh fruit juice , more fresh fruit rather than tinned and adding another hot drinks machine would make breakfast more memorable. This charming hotel is few minutes walk from restaurants, shops and public beach.

Travelled as a couple for a week stay, the whole island is absolutely beautiful, the hotel is probably the best in the area as it has its own private beach and coves with countless sun beds more than plenty for everyone. The resort centre about a 6 min walk uphill has a beautiful beach but Sun lounger will set you back about €35-€55 Euros per day. Views from sea view rooms are stunning. This hotel and the area we stayed in are very Italian, it’s not commercialised at all. If it’s tat shops and English bars you want you won’t find any here which makes a refreshing change. It’s 1 mile to the nearest supermarket if you want water or stock up on essentials. No tea making facility in room we did know before we arrived so bought our own kettle ect. If you want to completely relax this hotel is perfect.
