I stayed in the "Individual Superior Vistas Mar" for one person. The beachfront view was calm and beautiful. The technology of the room was magnificent. Extra special shout out to Unai in the kitchen - he truly made me feel at home. A perfect experience!

We had a wonderful time in this seaside town and the Hotel Arimune was a big part of that. What a wonderful place. The staff was amazing- extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and made to order (they even catered for my husband who is vegan) - the breakfast chef Unai was so helpful and attentive! The rooms are cosy and clean and ours had an ocean view. The lobby was beautiful too and comfortable and the beds were super cosy. Highly recommended. We spent time walking to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and then at the wine museum. Both are not to be missed.

This hotel is a hidden gem. We booked a 2 night stay to have a “small village” beach stop our Northern Spain road trip. Wow - what a great decision. This hotel is tastefully renovated, is in a perfect beachside position and the Basque breakfast is just amazing (the breakfast is a family tradition passed down through 4 generations) Thanks to Unai and Albert for making our stay so memorable.

Charming little hotel in a sea of highrise holiday apartments. The host (4th generation business) was wonderfully welcoming, as was his staff. Our room on the first floor had a great view over the beach without being noisy. The room was cosy, but had enough storage space for our two suitcases and assorted other stuff one lugs around while travelling. The building features some beautiful old items and has been restored sympathetically to its original. Some great restaurants in walking distance. Tea and coffee is available to guests for free. We didn’t try their breakfast (20Euros extra), but it looked nice. On the downside I would mention the parking situation: 5Euros per day across the road, so make sure you unload close to the hotel before parking. And the bathroom has a glass door, so doesn’t allow for a great deal of privacy. But all up we loved this place and would come again.

Hotel Arimune in Bakio overlooks the lovely beach and sea! A gem of a place! Hated to leave! Lots of places to grab a meal, or a few drinks. Locals are friendly and willing to engage with visitors to share their Basque beauty! Sunrise and sunset right outside your windows! Staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating!

Fantastic place , sea front in a very quiet area. The owner is just amazing, so welcoming , caring and kind. The breakfast is gorgeous with fresh and local products and a variety of choices. The architecture and decoration is very elegant, simple and nice. Nothing to improve!!

Very helpful people from start to finish. Excellent room, view and breakfast! Would stay again. Breakfast a 5* event at a cost of €18 each. Our hosts dropped us at the Game of Thrones location and picked us up 90 minutes later. Both the hotel and the GOT location are excellent.

We had a lovely time at the Hotel Arimune. Sadly we stayed for only one night at this beautiful place. We had one of the new rooms with ocean view. At night, you don’t hear anything but the ocean. Its a family owned hotel and you can feel it from check in to check out. Everyone is super kind, friendly and helpful. Basically positive vibes only! Especially the breakfast is extraordinary: one of the family members takes care of all your requests. Don‘t expect a massive buffet like in big hotels, but carefully hand selected food from the region, already prepared for you at your table. We would have loved to stay another night! Its a special place we can only recommend!

Everything about our stay was perfect. We were treated so kindly and with what needful hospitality. In the morning we enjoyed an amazing breakfast. Location is super close to the Gaztelugatxe hike, so a big breakfast was perfect to prepare us for our hike. This place is family run for four generations now.
