Alamdhari Resort and Spa

We had a wonderful stay, our room (54) was generous in size with views across the valley. It was very tranquil especially after a 5 day stay in Ubud. Sidemen is very beautiful and I’m glad we have had the opportunity to see it now because I fear overdevelopment is on its way. Not much to see in the Main Street, it’s all about the rise fields, the lush greens of the valley and the smiling faces of the locals. Breakfast is a little ordinary but there are so many options outside the gate if you want something more. The resort is very well located for walking, dinning options and experiencing the beauty of Sidemen.

My wife loves to explore Bali’s hidden gem, one of them is Sideman area. She decide to stay at this hotel for night. The views from our balcony are Mt Agung and rice field..so beautiful. The hotel service is excellent, but they don’t provide slipper,room floor is cold in the evening.No tv too,but it’s ok. I give 8 of 10 for this hotel.

A real nice hotel with a beautiful view, nice people and good food and good massages. But the airconditioning wasn't working correctly (we got compensated for that), no TV and beds were to hard so we didn't sleep good. So overall we wouldn't go back to this hotel anymore.

If you've never been to Sidemen before, they for sure - you'll love this place. There are lots of really nice things about it. But as someone who lives in Bali and has visited many Sidemen hotels, I personally feel this place does not warrant the price tag. We had a nice stay, but I personally wouldn't rush back here. The staff is all kind and friendly, but I wouldn't personally say competent or that the place is overall well managed. PROS: - large King size bed - quality pillows (they gave us extra pillows because they actually only give two tiny ones which is strange on such a big bed) - nice pool - nice view (although this is the case everywhere in Sidemen) - air con in the room (although you don't need it) - breakfast was a lot larger than I was expecting. Quite a few choices - strong wifi (this is rare!) CONS: - not accessible in the slightest. I am pregnant and had to jump across a bunch of stones along a fountain in order to use the lobby toilet. Also tons of stairs everywhere. - my biggest complaint: they filled the pool with lots of chlorine around 7am, meaning the pool isn't really safe to use in the morning. We came to just hang by the pool and this was really annoying. Their gardener said the pool was fine to use but we have a pool and know this is not true. There were huge chlorine granules everywhere. Most hotels put chlorine in at night to ensure it's safe to use in the am - could really improve their breakfast service in terms of staff training - getting coffee takes forever, toilet is out of tissue by 8am and this isn't replaced until after breakfast service - towels are very ratty and thin -I know this sounds very petty, but they have all these big koi fish everywhere but don't bother to offer food for kids to feed them - maybe silly, but almost hotel in Bali does offer food and this just felt so so cheap. Anyways, again - not a bad hotel and we did enjoy our stay, but for over 1juta a night, we expected a higher quality of service and amenities.

We stayed two nights in a deluxe double room. The room was advertised. There was plenty of room and had a comfortable bed. The location is fantastic . It is very peaceful and has a beautiful outlook to Agung. The breakfast was adequate and we enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. All the manager and all the staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to friends and would be happy to stay here again.

True paradise, exceptional setting, accommodating and polite staff and very comfortable villa. This was our first trip to Sidemen, and the Alamdhari was a breathtaking place to stay! We rented the villa with a private pool, which is a bit of walk, but totally worth each step. The villa was clean, pretty new, clean, comfy beds, linens and pillows, bright and spacious. The bathroom is spot on, there was also a little kitchen area with full fridge and coffee, sink etc. The views from the villa are unbelievable-it looked like a postcard. You can hear the birds, see the people working in the rice fields. so green and lush. The patio area is amazing with loungers. umbrella, relaxing day beds, pretty private, amazing warm, deep pool, can't say enough good things about the place. The Alamdhari staff is kind and accommodating. You can use What's App to contact the reception for any needs and they are very responsive. The landscaping and grounds are like a magical garden! I had some connections in place, and we did a waterfall and rice field excursion with a local in Sidemen- that both- were out of this world. The restaurant was also high quality, with fresh and delicious options, the service was superior. The staff is friendly, and always willing to fill our cups with ice and there is fresh water available to fill your reusable water bottles. The Alamdhari is centrally located in Sidemen so you can walk to other fun restaurants and explore the scene. The spa serviced are worth a visit as well, and lovely massages. We enjoyed everything about this place- quiet, beautiful and relaxing with an excellent customer service experience all around.
