The place had potential but was totally abandoned and has fallen into disrepair. The pictures are amazing but totally different from what you should expect if you stay there. We drove in at 5pm. This place is almost impossible to get to. We have lived in Bali for 9 years and have never gone somewhere this difficult. It's a maze to get to with tiny, one-way streets. No lights. Maps will take you to a random dead end where you have to turn around (again, super dangerous with no space). You have to drive about 10 km through the rice paddies. It’s a nice view so it’s sort of charming and we saw it as an adventure. When we finally arrived, things went from bad to worse. There was no staff, only a security guard that was totally uninformed. There is no food service, he said we had to go out to get our own food, but it was dark, no street lights and so it would have been horrible to drive through in the dark because we would have never found our way out. Luckily we brought our own food or we would have (literally) gone hungry. Please note that there was absolutely no forewarning about the food situation. In the kitchen, there are no absolutely no utensils to cook just dirty pans and a chop board. We were super lucky to have brought our own food for our cooking plan. The plates were dirty. The spoons, forks and cups were dirty. The villa was so moldy and abandoned. There was mold all along the ceiling. The fish pond looks disgusting like it hasn’t been cleaned. It’s like a dark, green, murky water— like a swamp. Bugs in the shower, a beehive in the bathroom. At night it was so incredibly dark, pitch black. We ordered breakfast last minute upon arrival seeing as there was absolutely zero food options. The breakfast was bland, there is only a choice of nasi or mie, and it tasted horrible. Then they brought coffee with a dead fly in it. We left immediately after breakfast. We could not leave the first night because we could not see through the rice paddies in the dark. They refused to refund us the first night, even though we were trapped there.

My comments are not really required, you can see from the photos and see it for yourself. If you are looking for something as advertised please AVOID as the accommodation was absolutely horrendous. You can see from the photos the condition it was in and they are advertising this as a 5 star, it completely shocked me and my wife. I am not really a person to leave a bad or good review but from my experience we had I don’t want anyone else turning up to this property and being in the same situation we were. Every room we went in had mould and smelt terrible, we could not stay. As soon as we arrived and checked over the property we were in shock, we asked to see another villa which was in even worse condition than the one we were given. I wish I could upload videos I took of how bad it was, with all the ants in the kitchen and the state of the bedrooms. I have reached out to *********** as they are still advertising it as 5 star and even with the evidence I shared still are advertising it. They said it’s not them who deem it as a 5 star it’s ministry of tourism. I really do hope no one else experiences what we had to and I hope by showing you what I can will make you see the true condition it is in. The location of Beraban Beach Houses is stunning all be it somewhat difficult to find and signage not much help but all efforts to get here certainly were well worth the effort. On entering the main 5 bedroom residence one of a few the most amazing view to the ocean in front of you overlooking 2 large pools took your breath away. The staff were great and all similar to Ni Putu who were very friendly and helpful at all times. In these trying times maintenance becomes an issue especially beachfront but you can see they do their best. Beds are more than great. King Coil extra king so very comfy. Bathrooms and bedrooms spacious with good guest amenities and a good hair dryer. No tv but who needs it. Internet was available in the main living area. Perhaps a booster or 2 appreciated so the residence villas all receive wifi. Most importantly of all a great place for a birthday for a kind and generous special friend David who will remember this event for a long time i am sure.
