Ketut's Place Villas Ubud

We checked into Ketuts Place villas Ubud in the Royal Villa on 14 September 2024 and were booked until 20 September 2024 Unfortunately I had to check out on 16/08/2024 for the following reasons 1. The access road to the property was closed for 4 wheelers due to a landslide, the message received was on the same day we arrived , how were we to know the road is closed. Google maps does not show an alternative route, instead it shows a fictitious walking path which is non existent. This made it extremely difficult to obtain cabs / taxis to and from the property. The taxi drivers demand more money each time because of the long detour. 2. The room ‘Bisma’ was filthy. Stains on the walls, ants all over including the bed , living rooms and the bathrooms, the bathtub , toilet and toilet seat in pathetic state. The room was nothing as represented on the webpage and other booking portals Finally we couldn’t take it, and decided to move out of the property and checked out on 16/09/2024. Have enclosed and some pictures for all future customers. Unfortunately I cannot upload a video of the room. USD $ 170 a night for this place is absolutely not worth it. Kindly consider a hundred times prior to booking this pathetic property

We stayed for a week in January 23 in one of the wonderful villas. What a blast! The villa is huge and we loved to sit outside on our terrasse, listening to the sounds in the beautiful garden. The bed was so comfortable, bathroom is modern and all made of stone. Another big plus is the pool, clean an nice. Towels are available on the poolbar. The breakfast is a la card and was every morning a joy, fresh made and local fruits. Outside the hotel is just one little street to cross to get to ricefields and natur. Along the street are a lit of restaurants. Its not busy as in ubud center, what we appreciate a lot. People are very friendly in the small shops, alway time for a little chat. Back in the hotel is a small temple-pls ask before entering and always dressed properly, with sarong and belt, its the family temple, so behave respectfully. A big big plus and 👍👍👍 to the stuff. All the stuff was so nice and friendly, we felt like living at friends. Thanks to the hospitality, we had a great stay at ketuts place and villas!

Everything was perfect. It is a large compound with a few well maintained villas. Staff is friendly and helpful. The Suite was great. Nice pool and vegetation around. The only thing i didn’t like was the fact that we broke the shower gel container and we have to pay for it.

An absolute beautiful hotel in Ubud. The bedroom was large with plenty of space, 4 poster bed complete with mosquito net, tv, safe, fridge and a large patio area. Bottled water is provided daily in the room too. All rooms are surrounded by the beautiful rainforest, the grounds are kept to a high standard and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Their pool is an infinity pool which again is surrounded by beautiful gardens with a bar and enough sunbeds for the rooms. Cannot rate this hotel & staff enough & would definitely return!

Amazing pool and architecture. Each corner in this place is so interesting and authentic. Breakfast was tasty and huge portions. The stuff was super friendly. We stayed in a villa on the second floor with a view to the jungle and pool and it was wonderful experience. The villa is situated 2 km outside of Ubud, it’s not the pleasant area to walk, especially in evening when is dark outside, but you can easy grab a taxi or a bike. Also one thing which I can point out in terms of improving: Cleaning is not the strongest point of this place. A lot of dust everywhere, towels and bathtub weren’t clean too. That moment has to be improved. Nevertheless this didn’t ruin our experience because all the rest was simply perfect. Thank you Ketut’s place!

Amazing stay at Ketuts place. The girls on reception are a credit to the villas, friendly helpful and cannot do enough for you, thank you girls! Lovely breakfast included and the room was very clean. They help organise bikes for your trip and sorted laundry for us. Highly recommend staying here. Only 5 minute drive into the centre of Ubud!! We will definitely be back :)

The staff was so welcoming and helpful. The property is very clean, and the pool is amazing! I honestly didn’t want to leave Ketut’s place felt like home, so comfortable and safe. What a little paradise on earth. And that certainly for such a price range. One hundred percent value for money. The hotel is fantastically constructed as a kind of fairytale park in local style. There are many beautiful little nooks and crannies, ponds, statues, .. Not to mention the breathtaking plants and swimming pool. Every day you get the chance to put together your breakfast completely according to your own wishes AND to eat it wherever you want (terrace of your own room, poolside, restaurant,...). The hotel is perfectly situated just outside the busy core of Ubud. We rented a scooter from a company that delivered it to the lobby. This can also be done through the reception. It is only a few minutes' drive to the center or to explore the beautiful region. Last but not least...the staff. Every member of staff we encountered was incredibly friendly and obliging without being over the top. In our experience, they also liked working in this hotel and this was reflected in their work and behaviour. They were also only too happy to give any kind of help you could ask for.
