Saba Villa

What an amazing experience! The best accommodation we have ever stayed in. Perfect for two couples with huge bedrooms , each having an amazing outdoor ensuite bathroom. The pool and outdoor area is a feature with a 15m pool and immaculately kept gardens. Made and staff were all amazing and could not fault any of the service.Nothing was too much trouble and any request met with immediate attention and a smile. Transport was provided to anywhere within 20 minutes which was appreciated as the villas are not really walking distance to restaurants although a supermarket and spa are at the end of the driveway.

The villa is outrageously overpriced—you can find far better-maintained properties on Airbnb for a third of the cost. I mistakenly booked the wrong dates and location, and when I realized my error two weeks before the trip, I worked with ******* to try and get a refund. Despite our best efforts, the owner refused to budge and wouldn’t offer any flexibility whatsoever. After those tense email exchanges, we were left in the uncomfortable position of actually having to stay at this place—only to arrive and find that all his villas were sitting empty. We were literally his only guests, yet he still clung to our money like his life depended on it. The website promises perks like Finn’s VIP Beach Club access, but when we tried to use it, it didn’t work. When we asked the owner, he gave us a bunch of nonsense excuses instead of actually helping. And let’s talk about breakfast—while they advertise it, they nickel and dime you for every little thing, making it more of a hassle than a perk. It’s laughable, especially when food in Bali is cheap and everywhere. Charging for espresso is especially hilarious and is the perfect metaphor for Andy's business acuman. The “shuttle service” is another joke. It’s limited to a useless 2km radius, meaning you can’t even get to the main part of Canggu. This guy is clearly struggling to get guests and will squeeze every dollar out of you with his ridiculously overpriced villa. What a scam. I hope Andy enjoys the money he scammed out of us—because that’s all he’s got going for him.

There are hardly words to describe our experience at the Saba Villas. We booked the Arjuna villa which is the 1 bedroom unit complete with pool and outdoor seating area as well as a bathroom featuring a shower that flowed out towards the pool deck. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we were fabulously well looked after. Nothing was every too much trouble for the ever smiling staff. From giving advice for local food to haggling with scooter drivers or even translating for a lost delivery person, the staff did everything with an ever present whole body smile. Special mention must go to Diwek and Mojito who were simply amazing and are a credit to the organisation. Apart from the staff, the bed was large and super comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious, the pool was sparkling clean and the kitchenette and outdoor area was perfect for our needs. The villa is in a slightly quieter part of Canggu but still very close to the livelier more bustling areas by short scooter ride or walk. While we were there we took advantage of the complementary access to Finn's beach and recreation club which made for a great day spent relaxing in the sunshine. We really can't recommend the Saba villas enough and will come back one day soon.

This was our second stay at Saba and I cannot wait to return again! We stayed with family and had all 5 villas which were inter connecting - it worked perfectly. Highly recommend for those with a big group. Saba is a true slice of paradise, from the beautiful gardens and private villas to the amazing food and 5 star service from the staff - it was such a memorable holiday for us and we cannot wait to come back over and over again! There are so many accomodation options in Bali now, but I wouldn’t look anywhere else as I don’t think other places would even come close to the full Saba experience

This was our third stay at Saba, twice in the standard 2 bedroom villas then this time the larger "Bima" villa. The villas are more spacious than any other villas in Bali we have stayed at. The recent upgrade of furnishings is great and has freshened up the villas. If being picky the only slight improvement could be cushions on the sun beds. As usual the staff were all great and we made use of the free transport to get to the beach for a walk every morning as that section of road is still not walkable due to traffic. One massive improvement is the addition of footpaths since our visit last year which now allows some exploring on foot and access to the local area. Would we come back for a fourth stay? Yes, definitely but probably just the standard 2 bedroom villa as for 3 people that is more than enough although we did love the extra space and slightly larger pool. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with no need to go anywhere but options nearby if needed this is the place for you. Thanks for having us Team Saba, hopefully we will see you again.

Excellent villa. We stayed as a family of four and having the private pool and two bathrooms was great. The villa staff are exceptional as is the food. We ordered many meals in house and the food was both delicious and well priced. They also manage the mosquitos which I have heard can be an issue in other places. Canggu also has a lot of good restaurants nearby which the villa staff drove us to. The only downside is it is not on the beach if you want a beach view (it's a short drive to a beach) but I have found we prefer the swimming pools in Bali to beach anyway. Also, if you want views of the beach they give you passes to Finns club which has the facilities of a resort. It was nice to try places like Finns but come back to the privacy of your own villa afterwards. Highly recommend as a place to stay.
