Solo Villas & Retreat

Warm super friendly welcome and most beautiful view over the risefields. Our room was at level of the greenery which made the view very intimate and pretty. Nature very nearby the room window. Pick-ups by scooter go smooth and fast but we also walked the paths passing beauty, calmth and serenety. In rain season the paths were a little muddy but were totally walkable. Walk into the other direction and you will find more woods. Breakfast is freshly made. Nice small and clean pool. Lovely staff, all of them including the smiling gardener. Suksma ibu & pak. Solo Villas exceeded my expectations! First the location is amazing ! The walk or the ride to the villa was always an incredible experience , at the same time so close to the main steer of Ubud , yet an escape from the busy area within minutes ! The service and the breakfast was excellent! All the stuff as lovely as the owner ! The garden and the pool area are so relaxing and beautiful! I would recommend the place to everyone! From solo travelers to couples and families !

This is a beautiful place to stay! The hotel itself is comfortable and clean with an excellent breakfast. Our room was perfect with plenty of space and a great bathroom.The view over the rice fields was wonderful and we loved hearing the frogs croaking at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was a lovely place to relax and unwind. It is extremely peaceful situated amongst the rice fields but at the same time very accessible to the main area of Ubud. You can either be taken to the main road by scooter (5 minutes) or wander through the market which lines either side of the walk. It should take about 30 minutes but usually took us considerably longer as we stopped to buy trinkets, have coffee or take photos along the route. If you walk out of town along the path you will see a wonderful sunset and meet lovely people who sell their crops of coconut, cinnamon, pepper and vanilla. We much preferred this quiet retreat to the hustle and bustle of central Ubud.

The setting of this retreat is amazing, in the middle of the rice fields but just 10 min walking distance from center Ubud. The villa are nice, clean and true balinese style. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast good enough. At any moment they offer bike ride to the center. Recommend it.

Absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! The breakfast was fantastic, the room was gorgeous (we even saw fireflies at night outside our window!), and the staff went above and beyond. The airport transfer from Denpasar was so easy to organise and Konik was so friendly that, despite the traffic, the time flew by as we chatted about Bali. In fact, everyone at the Villas was so lovely. We had a very early departure to make a flight and they even made us a to-go breakfast box which we really appreciated. There was a very easy scooter ride into the main road but the walk itself was so pleasant that we seldom took the scooter option. We travelled to another part of Indonesia afterwards and immediately regretted it - we could have happily spent our entire trip just in Solo Villas. We will be recommending everyone to stay here and if we’re ever back in Bali, we will be staying here again.

This was our favourite stay in our trip around bali. Peaceful, close to the nature in the area with picture window views from our room of the rice fields and Mount Agung. Our room was spacious with all the facilities and comfort we needed including a large water filter supply. Breakfasts were amazing and also enjoyed in peace in our wonderful tropical surroundings. The staff were so lovely and helpful thinking of everything we might need. Loved it.
