Amori Villas

From beginning to end the retreat we ran at Amori was quite literally one of the best I have ever facilitated. I've hosted retreats all over the world in the past 16 years, and Rick, Denny and the staff at Amori made this a profoundly seamless experience. From planning, costing, and then execution everything was perfect. The staff we accomodating, kind and even able to hold us beautifully in our 5 days of noble silence over which we couldn't speak. The food was fresh and delicious, meals always on time and beautifully presented. My favourite part was the yoga shala over looking the jungle. I could have sat there for days watching the trees, monkeys, birds and different weather patterns passing by. I couldn't recommened this property more highly.

I loved every minute of my stay at Amori. I couldn’t fault it. It started from the minute I was picked up by my driver. He radiated such good energy and it set the tone for my visit. All the staff were so attentive and welcoming. The setting is stunning and my accommodation was beautiful. My meditation and yoga instructors were true masters of their craft and my Thai massage was a stand out. Being a massage therapist myself I could tell he had a true connection to the body and it was a highlight for me.

I've just had a fabulous 6 days at Amori full of luxury and relaxation. Suspended above the jungle, lots of bird life, very nice restaurant, great service and lovely staff. They also know all the best places to visit. Love Ubud and Amori. ❤️❤️❤️

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids aged 16 and 9) stayed for 3 nights at Amori Villas as part of our summer trip to Bali. We booked one of the Classic Villas (Kingfisher) which sleeps 4 with one king bed and 2 single beds. We really enjoyed our stay - there are only 7 villas so you get a very personal touch from the staff. The Villas themselves are a 10-20 minute (time depending on traffic) drive into the centre of Ubud and there is a free shuttle bus one way provided by the Villa. Getting back from Ubud was very cheap and reasonably easy using the Grab app. The view from the villas definitely has a wow factor with the infinity pool over looking the beautiful greenery. As there are only a few villas there were not many people using the pool so this was like having your own private pool which was great. The breakfast was great with a wide range of options all cooked fresh on demand. We also had a lovely dinner there with a range of western and Indonesian food cooked beautifully. The highlight was the staff who were so friendly and attentive and helped with anything we asked for including local trips, transport to other areas of Bali and all at very reasonable prices. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is down to the room. Although very spacious the classic villas are a little rustic - the air conditioning had a permanent really loud hum and there were parts of the villa which are effectively open to the elements with no sealed windows which was not great for mosquitos. There is also a part of the villa window with no curtain so impossible to have any lie in with light coming in from sunrise. From the look of things the other villas were more modern if you have a smaller group might be best to go for those. In summary though really well recommended as a boutique villa option with excellent service and restaurant and lovely staff - thank you for a very memorable stay.

My wife and I had Amori Villas recommended to us by a friend who lives in Bali and we were rewarded with a great experience. It is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from the airport. It is small with about 7 villas, but that made it better for us. The small staff were very attentive to our needs. Breakfast comes with daily room rate and it was excellent with a combination of American and local food. The rooms were great. Ours had a balcony and a semi open bathroom. You could take a shower in the wall enclosed (open air) area of the bathroom or a more secluded area of the bathrooms (2 separate showers). The rooms were elegant. The view from the open sided restaurant were so excellent. So much green overlooking a valley with hills on the far side. There was a large Infinity type pool which I enjoyed. Overall, the view, the food, and accommodations were dream like. Most important to me was the staff. They were so pleasant and helpful. While it was far from attractions, drivers were easy to get for the day and having a driver was not expensive. We went to the Bali Swings (using a driver) and my wife and her lady friends enjoyed dressing up with costumes and having their pictures taken against a beautiful green jungle like backdrop of a Bali hillside. We also spent a day at a Black Sand Beach at the ocean. That was a great day also. Of course, the ladies enjoyed shopping and we had a couple dinners/lunch intown which were very nice. We had never been to Bali. We really were happy to be at the Amori.

The Amori Villas is an incredible place to stay. Beautiful flowers and plants surround it. It is a tropical paradise that instantly causes you to relax and breathe easier. The staff are not only friendly but cater to your every need. The food is so delicious, you could stay at the villa and never leave. The rooms are spacious and lovely. We can't wait to go back!
