Villa Bodhi

This lovely property has a spectacular view of the valley and mountain across the way. The Villa has 5 beautifully appointed buildings for sleeping. There is a lovely and comfortable salt water swimming pool. The staff is kind and gracious. Meals were wonderful. I can't wait to return to Villa Bodhi!

Despite landing in Bali past midnight, we were greeted with marigold lei and a hot, flavorful meal when we arrived at Villa Bodhi. The villaʻs beauty and calm moved me to tears. The commons area is an open pavilion with Balinese wood and stone carvings, teak furniture, and batik decor. Surrounding the pavilion are five large, air-conditioned guest cottages and an artesian salt-water infinity pool. After a restful sleep, we awoke to the view of a rainforest ravine. Our Bali experience was memorable also because of the Villa Bodhi staff and their authentic warmth. Whether it was how the landscape was maintained, the cottages were cleaned, or the delicious Balinese meals were crafted, every interaction demonstrated genuine care and professionalism. A special mahalo goes out to the manager, Mr. Made, who took the time to drive us to several sightseeing spots and share his cultural knowledge and perspective of his home. In a world where tourism can often feel transactional, the staff at Villa Bodhi exemplified what it means to provide heartfelt hospitality. My favorite memory? Spending a day touring the surrounding Ubud district — temples, shrines, rice fields, shopping — and then returning to Villa Bodhi in the late afternoon to slide into that infinity pool before the most satisfying Balinese meal.

One of the best properties in Bali with best location which gives you true flavour of Balinese nature and culture and still not far from Ubud only a few minutes drive . Every thing is so perfect about Villa Bodhi from its beddings to its pool . Villa has got a beautiful architecture and interior which is a mixture of Balinese with modern touch , making this place very comfortable and serene . One of the most professional but still friendliest staff and great chefs too . I have stayed there multiple times already and what an experience and comfort it is to be at this place every time . The photos of this place hardly do it justice. It is so peaceful. It's a very private little retreat - there are only 4 rooms, so it's quiet and tranquil and I'm pleased we chose not to stay in Ubud city. It feels like a tropical version of those private game reserves in Africa. The view over the valley gives a sense of openness and space. We were only here for 4 days, and I was worried that there wouldn't be enough here to keep me busy, but in between relaxing we were pretty busy. There is a lot to do in the area: a trip to Ubud, Penglipuran, and so on. But just hanging out here was a pleasure. I was in the double story villa with the view over the valley, but the living area is really where I spent most my time. The staff are fantastic - friendly and attentive. The one who cooks makes fantastic Balinese food. Really, I'd highly recommend this place.

We had the most wonderful stay at Villa Bodhi! The villa is so beautiful and comfortable. The view from the pool is incredible! The staff is super attentive and friendly. We stayed as a family and loved everything! We highly recommend the villa to other travelers.

Villa Bodhi is a rare piece of paradise, exceeding expectations ! The grounds, accommodation, style and ambiance is truly outstanding set in stunning scenery which takes your breath away. Photos don't do it justice. The staff were fantastic attending to our every need. The manager, Made, is a true gem - so attentive, intent on ensuring a memorable experience. He organised some wonderful experiences for us to enjoy at the Villa and gave great advice of things to do outside as well. The meals were better than the restaurants and served in a great setting. All the friendly, kind, attentive staff were so wonderful with such attention to detail and genuine caring for us. We got the best of both worlds as the Villa is set in a gorgeous village, yet we could easily travel to Ubud if needed, driven expertly by Made in great vehicles. We had age ranges from 85 to 4 years of age staying for a week and everyone was catered for and just loved it. It is rare that a venue gets so many aspects right but Villa Bodhi has - location, style, accommodation, staff, food, service. Can't recommend Villa Bodhi and its staff enough. 5++++ stars.
