Villa Bukit Segara

Magnificent villa, the staff were so friendly & could not help us more. Meals were next level with plenty of variety. Prices were very reasonable.Water was from their own spring and the attention to every detail was outstanding.Thankyou ( Sylvia, Barry & all 15 staff)for making our stay so very special. ❤️🙏👏

Staying here was a truly wonderful experience! You can take part in a traditional Balinese prayer ceremony, and you don’t have to worry about small animals entering your room. The swimming pool is always spotless, and best of all, you don’t need to worry about Bali Belly because they have their own fresh water source and filtration system. On top of that, the hotel is located right in front of the best snorkeling spot in Amed—trust me, I’ve tried other places, and this one is definitely the best! The staff and the owner are incredibly friendly and always willing to help. During my stay, I happened to be there for Nyepi (the Balinese Day of Silence), and Wayan prepared an amazing selection of ingredients based on my preferences, so I could still enjoy delicious, freshly cooked meals on that special day. If you’re lucky (depending on his mood), The boss( Mr. Derk )might even invite you to listen to some traditional Balinese music or take you to a stunning seaside temple.

Amazing place! Beautiful, well kept villa. Very personalized experience. The staff actually calls you by name and is very accommodating to your needs. Derk was very welcoming and made sure all our needs were met. Bari and the rest of the staff were fantastic. They made our romantic dinner so special. The pools were beautiful and the views of the sea were amazing. Snorkeling off the beach was also great and many SCUBA opportunities with in walking distance. And lastly, the food was so good. Made from scratch every time. Tried something different every meal and none disappointed! Only a couple of things that weren’t perfect; The drive to and from the airport was over 3 hours! Drivers were great, but you must be OK with the crazy drive. The mattress was also very hard. They were willing to move us to another room, but we opted not to as we had already unpacked. They also offered to switch mattresses with another room! That was very nice, but didn’t take them up on their offer. Extra pillows helped. So, if you’re looking for a beautiful, quiet, relaxing place near great snorkeling and SCUBA, this is your place.. If you’re wanting to party, probably not your place.

Perfect beachside retreat in Amed, Bali. The special staff Bary, Sylvia and Sery plus owner Derk and his wife made our stay wonderful. Snorkelling direct from the hotel beach to a rich coral. Swam with turtles each day. Rooms are light and airy with separate dressing room and bathroom. We ate there most nights as the food was rated second in the area and it lived up to the score. Dining over looking the sea is unrivalled. Had a special sail boating experience to a hidden temple with a Hindu priest who then allowed us to join them in a religious ceremony. Nothing was too much trouble and we would highly recommend.

I had a fantastic stay at The Villa. The room was spacious with a wonderful ocean view and had a separate dressing room and bathroom. Immaculately clean and the service was exemplary with special mention to Sylvia and Sery. Breakfast had a number of options from a menu of 3 courses and the restaurant also served lunch and evening meals which were varied and to excellent standard. I also ate at local restaurants during my stay but found none better than at the Villa. What really set this apart for me was the sailing expedition to Bali and Lombok. There were 4 of us on the trimaran including Mike and Arden (the Balinese instructors / crew), which was set up in a hybrid of a Balinese Jukung with a European sail config. We sailed to Gili Meno on day 1 and pulling up on the sand to walk 50 yards to the beach hotel was wonderful experience. The Gili accommodation was spacious and clean over two floors with the bedroom on the top floor and bathroom / seating areas below. It also had a bar / restaurant. Basic but good. Day 2 was to Lombok and again good accommodation and food. During the expedition there was also plenty of time to relax, snorkel or more sailing. The instructors were very flexible to our requests. Derk, the owner, was also very keen to get our feedback and to improve the experience. In summary, the whole trip was superb and would recommend for others without hesitation.
