The Kirana Tembok

This resort is very quiet. While that’s not a bad thing if you stay expecting something to do you will be disappointed. There is absolutely nothing going on. Large grounds that are beautifully kept. The pool is lovely and well maintained. Unfortunately the staff while all very kind and obliging seem to lack direction. No one approaches you for drinks around the pool. You have to get up and sometimes find someone to get you a beverage. There is an upstairs lounge which is great in the afternoon breeze but again you have to go downstairs to get a drink. There are no spirits at this place so don’t expect a cocktail, you can however get a mocktail. Now let’s talk about the food, one word - atrocious. We tried Indonesian cuisine and western and both were hideous. Chicken satay’s had gristle in them and were inedible , pizza was straight out of a freezer box and undercooked even after waiting almost an hour. Definitely take some snacks with you as the nearest shop is a bit of a walk. The room we booked was clean and tidy, good size bathroom.

Been there for 3 times already and everything just perfect Huge room, huge resort , nice pool at the front of the beach, great staff From the security, reception , housekeeping, to the restaurant staff everyone just did their great work The food is great Definitely will be comeback soon

Everything about The Kirana Tembok is outstanding. The resort is quiet and peaceful. Away from the tourist crowds. This small resort offers exceptional service and spotlessly clean facilities. The management and staff work together flawlessly to offer personal service to the guests. The food is top notch and fresh. The room, bed and bathroom were all clean and comfortable. The AC and WiFi work well I was able to have a Zoom meeting on their wifi. The massages I received from Setia in their gazebo overlooking the sea were the ultimate relaxation. We also enjoyed seeing how they make coconut oil, palm sugar and arak on the premises. The warmth and genuine kindness from Dewa, Ani, Gede, Kadek, Lista and all the others working at The Tembok made our first trip to Bali truly special. Thank you. I hope to stay here again!

This property is a great value. Since they opened in 2019, everything is still in great shape. We booked a room here for our relatives to stay with our toddler as the property next door is adults only. It only took 5 minutes to walk from the beach to this property to check in with our toddler which was a huge plus. Room is spacious and the AC kept the room very cool. They even had a bassinet in the room which was perfect for our toddler. The staff here is very friendly and even recooked and plated some leftover food we had for free. The pool by the restaurant is right by the beach and the food is inexpensive. We would definitely book this property again if we visit Tembok

We originally booked for 3 nights but stayed 6. We didn’t want to leave. Very well presented and maintained property. Right on the water’s edge with lush well maintained gardens surrounded by a coconut plantation. Restaurant had a limited menu but it’s still in the reopening phase after lockdowns. Food was absolutely delicious and very well presented. The chefs were so nice and approachable and I was able to ask for fresh seafood the day before so they could buy at the market the next night. ALL the staff were lovely, friendly and attended to any request promptly and with a smile. Special mention to Dewa and Pajar who went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. The manager Komang and head chef of the Kirana chain both spoke to us at length about feedback and suggestions and I saw some changes immediately. We even got to sample some of the new menu items and big thumbs up. If you want to relax and just lounge around away from the hawkers and noise of south Bali then this is the place. We would come back for sure.

I had heard that Kirana Tembok was a nice facility and location, but it exceeded ALL my expectations. If you want to get away from it all and relax, this is the place for you. The rooms are new and in excellent condition; the A/C works incredibly well; the staff are nice; the grounds are well cared for; the food was delicious; the pool was clean; and the view? The view was to die for. So picturesque! Everyone I met who stumbled across this place said they will return. Me too. It can’t be soon enough.
