InterContinental Bali Resort recensioner

All hotel staff were tripping themselves to provide good service. From the doorman to reception to room attendant to waiters/ waitresses everyone went out of their way to provide the best stay possible. Never had any staff stopped tp greet or say hello whenever we passed by. The location of the resort also played a part in our choice. Close to seafood restaurants and essential amenities. The grounds were immaculate and was constantly attended to by an army of gardeners. We had nothing bad to say about our stay in the Intercon.There were a few hiccups like the light switches not working well and the air-conditioning not particularly cold. But this was to be expected considering the age of the resort. All in all the best value for money. Highly recommended and we will stay again.

The view from the hotel is already very nice! Love it so much. The service provided by the staff is absolutely 5 stars as well!

This is not an hotel, this is village!  It’s gigantic! we get lost many times!!  Staff, service and amenities were amazing ( the departure room , huge pool, next to the beach, amazing breakfast) but the room was a disappointment.  It was damp, musty. The pillows and bedsheets smell. The room felt humid. i couldn’t sleep, i had an headache and i have tried everything. i ask them to change for new pillows and bedsheets, i hung them outside on the balcony to get a bit of sunlight, i switched off the AC and open the door to game some fresh air but none worked.  I guess this side of the hotel wings 6000 never gets sunlight.  My daughter has asthma, i informed the hotel beforehand about to avoid this kind of issue.  As for the beach, it was plastics everywhere but i guess this was not the hotel matters since it’s a private beach but still.

Perfect three night stay, opted for club level and we were whisked to the club lounge for check in. After a long flight(s) the warm welcome was much appreciated. The whole team were super friendly and helpful. Our room was huge and beautifully decorated/furnished. The only downside was a smell of damp. The club room was fantastic and we enjoyed breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails and canapés there. The club pool service was also fabulous (soft drinks included all day) and we had cocktails and canapés by the pool one night. Yasa, our personal butler (!) during the stay was super helpful. He organised a car for us to visit Uluwatu and GMK national park for us. We loved Sunset Beach bar and also Ko the Japanese restaurant. Gym was good, we also played tennis which was pretty expensive for a poorly maintained court (included rackets and balls though). Fabulous stay and would definitely recommend and return

Our 3-night stay at intercontinental in Bali was a blast! The facilities were amazing, and we had so much fun. The tea room was our daily go-to—cozy with tasty snacks, great coffee, and a good tea selection, plus it was the perfect cool spot to beat Bali’s heat and humidity. Sunset Beach had solid vegan options for my wife, which was a huge win. The surf school we tried one morning was an absolute highlight—perfectly planned and such a vibe. Big thanks to the staff for awesome service!

Beautiful property, amazing grounds right on the beach. Excellent service and very comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was great as expected. Would love to stay again another time

Great hotel with great location and free amenities such as a really big pool, free sauna and jacuzzi, lounge with free food. A bit old and facilities are a bit run downed though.

Serenity What a lovely hotel this is. Beautiful landscaping and architecture. The rooms are large and very homie with a comfortable sofa, table and TV. The balcony is huge! There’s room to do yoga and it’s a great place to read or write in privacy, with the sound of the waves crashing and tropical birds singing. The main pool is massive with a fun swim up bar and there are so many lounge chairs everywhere, you’re sure to get one. I really enjoyed lounging by the sea wall and walking along the beach. The staff are super friendly and attentive. It’s also not too far from the street where you can find a shop or a salon. Wishes: The rugs in the room were full of stains and should be deep cleaned or replaced (or just gone). Also, I did not try the breakfast buffet, but I did order room service. The omelette and gluten free bread was very nice; however, the ricotta seemed a bit off and the yogurt was clumpy. The orange juice was fermented. (probably not stored properly as it’s tricky in these hot climates) so I did mention this issue to the manager and he promptly offered me some fruit and to make me a fresh juice. I hope they can improve the food to match the amazing atmosphere and service.

Brilliant stay at the intercontinental. The location is great, close to the airport, some little shops outside, and great fish restaurants on the beach outside the hotel. The breakfast was excellent. Pool was gorgeous and the beach towels were lovely. The staff were wonderful with the children. Pool restaurant food was great but could use a few more options. One thing to note is that the beach was really dirty but that’s a factor of Bali beaches not the intercontinental.

The hotel provided very good service & suggest differ restaurant to me. BTW, they r upgrade deluxe room which very comfortable , they were very caring our concern, like personal hygiene, dun assign a room end of corridor… etc which so sweet & good service.

Amazing hotel, great facilities, top level hospitality and affordable

Arriving at the hotel I immediately smelled the mould. The hotel is beautiful but smells. We were kindly received at the door, they picked up our luggage, and served us a welcome drink while we did the check in. I started to sneeze and my nose clogged so I explained I was allergic to dust and I would like a room with more sunlight and wind. When we entered the room the musty smell was unbearable. I immediately complained and they promptly found another room without carpets. I believe it was an upgrade. They also sent us an apology card with fruits and chocolates. Unfortunately, the new room was still smelly, not as smelly as the first one, but we accepted as we were super tired and didn’t want to wait any longer. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: Shower pressure was fantastic Breakfast was great, they had options like avocado toast, salmon bagel, burritos, and a variety of international options Bed was comfortable Swimming pool Temperature was perfect and the bar very convenient with great drinks Beach is clean and not crowded Sunset is beautiful The restaurants had a good environment and good food. A bit pricey, but overall worth it. Cons: Mould. This is actually the only reason I wouldn’t go back to this hotel. The smell is in the room and the entrance mainly. The rest of the areas are okay. This hotel was built in 1993, so I have to say that if it wasn’t for that, the hotel would be in amazing condition. Service by the pool was very slow, my husband tried to get a beer first thing when he arrived and only after calling the waiter twice they brought him the beer, but it was room temperature! 😞 Coconut water and beer were not cold, they actually offered ice, but it just made it watery and tasteless. Bike rental can only be used inside the hotel, and they don’t tell you that when you rent it. I tried to go out to cycle in the surrounding area and they didn’t allow me to go. After complaining, the charged me half price for the rent. I only used inside the hotel and at the beach in front of the hotel. Concierge service was very slow and inefficient. He didn’t have packages to offer, photos, or videos. Everything was searched on Google right in front of us. The only option given was a private driver that could take us anywhere we wanted to go. The problem is that we didn’t know the places, so we were expecting a better introduction to the island and the activities. We ended up doing our own research and hiring the driver. Transfer from hotel to airport costs 430,000 RP, but if you get a grab (similar to Uber/Didi) it will cost you less than 80,000 RP. Overall, the hotel is a good option if you can tolerate the smell. That’s the only reason I wouldn’t recommend it. Otherwise it was a great stay for the price.
