Ice House Hotel

This was our 2nd time at the IceHouse. The room was large, bright, full length windows with views of the the River. Breakfast was excellent. I recommend the Eggs Royal.The Hotel is situated close to a great playground, the beach and a lovely forest. Its peaceful watching the river. I lookforward to returning in the future.

I had a fantastic birthday stay and was wonderfully taken care of by Rachel and Rowen in the restaurant—they were both so lovely! The service at the spa was excellent, thanks to Katrina, and Ashling made sure we were well looked after. Matthew at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. Will be back!

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We had a resort in Thailand planned but our friends were getting married the week after our wedding in Clare. We stayed here instead...oh my God it's amazing! They gave us a complimentary romantic turndown with rose petals and during our evening meal surprised us with congratulations written on the dessert plate. The food is impeccable in both the restaurant and the bar! Food: Restaurant: We had goats cheese roulade and brie starter. We had steak and duck main. Pecan pie and berry crumble for dessert. 10/10 Bar: We had chilli prawn tacos (oh my this is amazing and must try) and the wild mushroom linguine (again an absolute must try! In fact, just copy our order and trust you'll be delighted. Atmosphere: Everything about this place is super romantic. The vibe is chill, the staff let you relax but are attentive to anything you need. Again it's 5 star from a guest perspective, currently they're on 4 stars and they really deserve that 5 star title. Spa: Unfortunately the spa treatments weren't available during our stay, so we booked the mud baths, this was very relaxing, baths overlook the river and it's picturesque. It rained a little but nothing could put a dampen on our spa day. The hot tubs overlooking the river are also incredible. Access to hot tub and thermal suites are complimentary with the stay. The mud baths are €80-100 each, but for an occasion worth a try! Thank you so much to everyone here for making us feel special and topping our honeymoon expectations! We decided you'll be out anniversary dinner location from now on, seeing as Darver castle where we married was only a wedding venue and doesn't offer hotel or restaurant experiences. 10/10 recommend. Incredible from start to finish. Super location and views, very friendly staff, great spa treatments and the food was 5 star. Could not fault on any level. A real real treat!

Just back from an overnight stay at the Ice House Hotel, Ballina. What an experience!. From the moment of arrival to our departure every staff member were so helpful and courteous. Food was beautiful, perfectly cooked and presented. Breakfast was so delicious with a vast menu to choose from. Bedroom was very clean and comfortable as was bathroom and towels were pristine. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though it was only one night.

A beautiful two night stay in the ice hotel with 5 star treatment. The staff were incredibly friendly and extremely accommodating. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night and ordered the bar food to the room on the second night. We personally favoured the bar menu but all meals were delicious. The breakfast was simple but effective. We also enjoyed two spa treatments and two outdoor mud bath experiences. We left wanting more but feeling very relaxed. Thank you to all the staff for adding the the experience.
