My husband & I booked Jandar Retreat for our 1st wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Elysium room. The room was spacious and freshly renovated, everything looked and felt brand new. The fireplace was easy to use and warmed up the space quickly. Spa on the patio was lovely. We were surprised with a breakfast basket filled with fresh local produce, we felt very spoilt indeed. Contactless check in was convenient and easy. Keypad on the door instead of keys was great. Bed was a touch too firm for our liking, could do with a pillow top. We were hoping for a little more privacy, not realising the rooms are so close together, we rarely saw the other guests, however we could hear our neighbours doing the horizontal tango at 2am. Great location between Maleny and Montville and we would consider staying here again on our next trip to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Supurb. A beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean property with 4 large bedrooms and plenty of space including kitchen/dining/living areas, breakfast provisions and the perfect outdoor area for our family to sit and chat. Very highly recommend.

This is the second time I visited "The Rondawel" at African Cottage. Really love this unique cottage that hidden at Maleny. Fully furnished, very spacious and relaxing along with some African music. Matilda prepared African dinner, along with some seafood we bought from Mooloolaba, my family had a great time celebrating Father's Day. Will definitely revisit this place again. Lovely place to stay, well appointed modern cabin. Loved the breakfast hamper full of local produce. Great spa under the stars. Nice and close to Maleny and Montville in a convenient spot. Bed was comfy and enjoyed the included WiFi and smart TVs. Definitely recommend.

Had our 5th anniversary here and it was the perfect place to spend with my significant other. Place was very clean and cozy with all the necessities available for use. The place was so good we didn’t feel like leaving, especially because of the spa with the beautiful trees in the back ground. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs time away from the busy life in the cities and suburbs. I’ll definitely come back in the near future to further explore the area.

The villa was airy and clean and host was very welcoming, leaving a breakfast supply in the fridge for us which was a lovely surprise. Only two issues, low water supply/pressure and very limited hot water which was an issue in the middle of winter. The main bathroom could only be accessed through the main bedroom, through the second bedroom from the lounge. This was not advertise and needs to be so people can decide if this will suit their family arrangements.

Stayed 3 nights in the Figtree Villa. First time at Jandar Retreat. Seeking a peaceful, tranquil and comfortable break. Jandar delivered. Beautiful, very well appointed villa with 5 star amenities. The fireplace and private, heated deck spa were a treat. The complimentary extra touches were excellent and gave us a feeling of being valued guests. These included all ingredients to prepare a complete hot breakfast, savoury platter, dessert platter and fruit platter. These were a beautiful treat although not highlighted as complimentary on the website. Will miss the Figtree and the tranquility. Already recommended to family and friends. Perfect couple retreat. Figtree cabin is beautifully appointed and perfect for a couple’s romantic getaway. JanDar Retreat is ideally positioned for a hinterland escape. Service and communication was great. Highly recommend!!!

Jandar retreats is very lovely and quiet. The room we stayed in (elysium) was great size, very clean and fantastic shower! Was very quiet for anyone wanting solitude. However, super hard bed! Everything else was great just needs a comfier bed.
