We stayed overnight visiting locality. Apple pressing was taking place on the Saturday; a once a year event when locals bring apples to be turned into juice. A great atmosphere with music and morris dancers adding to the general buzz. The pub is historic with great local beers, most of which from the brewery a few yards away. Our room was comfortable, warm and clean. Good mattress and fluffy pillows. Plenty of tea and coffee. Also complimentary bottle of local beer and fridge magnet to remember your stay by. Pub wasn't doing food when we stayed so we strolled to the brewery cafe for a delicious breakfast (booking advised).

What a pub should be ( all about the beer) excellent selection from the brewery 5 minutes walk away. We ate at The Sun 10 minutes walk as no food on the Monday night. This was my birthday surprise including the brewery tour. Excellent breakfast at the brewery.

Great evening, we went to Music at the crossroads then back to this proper pub for a few drinks at the end of the night. Tabs working behind the bar was great, friendly and welcoming. Made sure we had a good time. Lots of good beer great customer service. We'll definitely be back.

Relaxed stay in a proper pub. Large room with views over the village green complemented by a cosy bar downstairs with great beers from the local Hook Norton Brewery that is situated about 400m away up the lane. A buzzing atmosphere from a wide variety of customers including local bellringers (after practice) and domino teams. Very clean accommodation with great linen and towels. Conveniently located for the brewery tour which was also 5*.

Was given a lovely comfortable room very comfy bed , the shower and toilet was beautiful, the staff were lovely, learnt a new game called aunt Sally, but wasn't expecting to still be awake ar 2am due to a lockin very noisy would not have been sk bad if we had been told 😀

We stayed here for one night after finding it by chance and we were very pleased we did so. We were a little unsure to start with as the pub was a little basic and old fashioned, while the way through to our room was past the ‘working’ area, but once we were shown into our room we were delighted as it was very spacious,light, and perfectly clean and fresh. The bed was huge, while the bedding and towels were of an excellent quality and beautifully white and ironed. The bed was also very comfy. The complimentary bottle of beer was very welcome and there was a good selection of tea, coffee and water. Evening meals were limited to pizza on certain nights, but there was another pub in the village which was recommended and the food there was good. Similarly, breakfast was a two or three minute walk away at the brewery, with a voucher worth £7.50 per person provided towards breakfast. All in all a pleasant place to stay.

Friendly village pub with Hooky beers. Traditional bar area. Perfect for visitors having beers after a brewery visit. No food at the time of visit Feb 2022. Probably the best pub in the Parish. Cant wait to visit in the summer

We only stayed at The Pear Tree for one night after a family function at the nearby brewery. The location is perfect for exploring the brewery and nearby Cotswolds or Blenheim Palace. The rooms were lovely traditional old pub rooms with modern bathrooms, and lovely little touches in such as a bottle of local beer. We appreciated having a breakfast voucher and tasting the delicious breakfast back at the Brewey. I will definitely recommend to friends and family
