The Service was exceptional; especially L. Thanwon was very friendly and helpful! He hiked the Trail to Worlds End with us, we had a wonderful time and saw Lots of wildlife and nature. Thank you! The hotel is perfect for a short Stay, the rooms are very big and clean.

Simple, yet beautiful hotel centrally located in Bandarawela. Ideal for 2 nights! We made an excursion from the hotel to the Horton Plains. We set off early in the morning at 4.30 am with a driver and our super nice guide Segar. We were at the viewpoint on the Horton Plains at sunrise. It was beautiful! As we drove to the starting point, we were able to see deer up close. A great sight! We then started our hike on the approx. 9 km circular trail to World's End and Bakers Fall. The weather was perfect for the hike, as Segar had recommended the early hike so that we could still enjoy the beautiful views. Our return journey was by car to Ohiya, where we enjoyed the must-have experience - taking the train back to Bandarawela. Many thanks to Segar for the wonderful trip.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay, the hotel staff was extraordinarily helpful and friendly, and we particularly enjoyed the dry martini on the terrace! The location and the views were excellent as well, and we would definitely stay here again!

Our family recently stayed at the Orient Hotel and thought it was very confortable. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly especially Roshan. Great entertainment in the hotel with karaoke and the billiard table. There was a good supermarket (Cargills), food court (above Cargills) and restaurant (La Cocina) within walking distance.

Solid hotel for 1 or 2 night stay. Very friendly staff who go out of their way with assistance. Breakfast is varied and fresh. Rooms were clean and towels were changed daily. Rooms had a strong fan (not air-conditioning) but that was sufficient given the more moderate temperature of the region. Short walk to town.

Lovely varied hotel with very attentive staff including Roshan. Our families were very well looked after. Close to town. Great communal areas- karoke/pool table/garden/ lounge. Fresh large breakfast buffet. Close to supermarket, food court (Cargill) and pizza restaurant (LaCocina)

We made a tour with Thanujan to Worlds End. It was great funn with beautiful nature and adventures train ride. Thanujan was very friendly and knowledgeable. The Karaoke bar in the Hotel was also a lot of funn. The whole staff was really friendly. The rooms were okay, but not very comfortable.

We loved our stay at hotel Orient, as a family of 8. We camped at Eagle Rock and did a nice walk through the tea plants with our guide Pule. The hotel provided a nice lunch. Afterwards we stayed at the temple and did a meditation session with the munks. New Year’s Eve we spent at the hotel, there is a great bar and the restaurant is great. We recommend!

The food in the restaurant is delicious and varied. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cooking class with Siva was a lot of fun and can be recommended. We had a lot of fun singing karaoke in the bar. Unfortunately, the rooms are very noisy.
