Jayamahal Palace Hotel

Dirty, rundown, dingy, wear all your clothes in bed and don’t eat the food kind of place. I got the tickets on Expediaand chose this place because I need to visit a relative nearby. We had stayed in this property 14 to 15 years ago and I remembered it being nice back then. Not the case now. The entrance sign at the main gate is broken down and nothing improves on the way in. The picture on ******* is a complete lie. The lawn in the front has a 6 feet tall wire mesh fence all around it, the manager at the reception is the most dour individual you could ever imagine. The restaurant was empty. The lobby was empty, I saw one guest in this entire hotel, and he came out of his room to complain. The first room they put me in the AC did not work, the second room they put me in was a step down from the first it is extremely dingy, there’s barely enough light to see in the bathroom has mold around the sink with a bucket and the power cord to the water heater is repaired with black tape. There’s actually a huge pile of garbage right outside my door. The pictures say it all. i’m barely gonna be in my room except to sleep, but I will not be eating their breakfast and will never return. Just avoid it. There’s no point being this miserable.

Plus, the stay was pocket-friendly, offering great value for the price. Its okay hotel, there is no lift in this place, only veg restaurant are there. Staff are very polite and good.

3- i had few issues while staying at the place, the reception and room service in charge people dint now pick up our calls at night even after trying lot of times, the geyser was not functioning well and last but not the least, the breakfast menu was not that up to the mark

Good hospitality overall. All the staff in the reception, room service, the night manager, house keeping and the restaurant are polite and respectful to the guests. Best feature in the accommodation is the temperature console for the geyser in the bathtub equipped bathroom.
