NJOY Prestige Grand Hotel Don Mueang

Convenient for a Transit Stay, But Misaligned with 4-Star Expectations Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) – Adequate for short stays, but overrated by Ctrip’s star system. Pros: - Excellent location for late-night arrivals or early departures from Don Mueang Airport. - Modern lobby and welcoming staff who acted promptly when we reported issues (e.g., room change due to insects). - Breakfast had fresh Asian options and a reliable Nestlé coffee machine. - Good value for a one-night transit stay. Cons: - Misleading 4-star rating: This is a budget airport hotel, not a 4-star property (consistent with prior Ctrip discrepancies on our trip). - Room cleanliness issues: First room had an insect infestation due to sticky residue near the trash bin. While the second room was cleaner, the bathroom had no hot water, poorly cleaned floors/walls, and an ill-fitting toilet seat. - Facilities need maintenance: The bathroom’s condition (especially for a "4-star" claim) was disappointing. Verdict: A functional option if you need a last-minute airport stay, but temper expectations—this is a 2.5- to 3-star hotel at best. Ctrip’s rating system appears inflated; we’ve encountered similar mismatches elsewhere.

This hotel is affordable and offers a pool, gym, bar, restaurant, and meeting hall. The lobby is very clean and provides complimentary drinks to help with dehydration.

The overall is good but one thing to be excellent is noise from other room, because the room not effective sealing at underneath of front door and connecting room door. If improve for the sealing, nothing to say from excellent.

Booked a king bed as a solo traveler but got a room with an extra bed and a connecting door to another guest bedroom (which people are staying with kids and I can hear them) Not soundproof at all—you can hear neighbors clearly. Shower pipe was leaking. Service was great though, with 24/7 English-speaking staff, free snacks and drinks. Close to DMK and 7-Eleven, but a bit far from the main road. Good price for what you get. The bedroom is spacious enough for 3 people—great if you’re splitting with friends. Definitely a budget hotel, not prestige or 5-star, but decent value overall.

I had a night layover in the Thailand Don Mueang (DMK) area. This hotel was perfect for me! It is pretty close to the airport, but not close enough to walk. I found taking a taxi was the most efficient way of getting there with the route costing 85bhat and a 50bhat surcharge from the airport totaling to 135bhat (less than $5usd). The hotel staff were very helpful and kind, and spoke english well. The pool was great as well as the gym. The hotel restaurant was also reasonably stocked and priced! And open until at least 10pm. The environment felt mostly geared toward young people with loud upbeat music but I also saw quite a few families come. My room was quiet other than hearing light activities in the room next door. The room was clean, comfortable, and the AC worked well after a few minutes. They have people working the desk all night so it was easy for me to book a cab the next morning at 5am! Thanks a ton!

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! It’s very close to the airport, which is convenient, but it is a bit far from the city center. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making my experience even better. Everything was fantastic! I would definitely come back!
