The location of this hotel is excellent as it is just 1 to 2 mins away from asok bts and about 3 mins away from sukhumvit mrt. It is also just beside terminal 21.
Check-in was smooth. I booked a room with lounge access, but the staff failed to give me the letter stating the lounge timings and what I was entitled to. In addition, I was entitled to 2 free drinks at the bar but again the staff doing the check-in failed to give me the voucher for them. I was also not given a receipt for the deposit I paid, and was not told an e copy would be sent instead.
The room was fine. It felt a bit dark and run down / old. The tv was not functioning well. The top part of the screen was darkened. Unlike other hotels of similar ratings, there wasn't a pillow menu available as well.
The lounge was fine. Canapés consisted either of seafood or spicy stuff or a mixture of the two, both of which I don't eat partly due to allergies. Hence it was disappointing. In addition, they ran out of canned lipton lemon tea. I don't understand how they do their stock taking or why it wasn't topped up in their inventory when they know there are only 2 cans left.
Room service was stingy with their coffee. I tend to drink a lot of coffee and put 2 packets per cup. Yet when I asked for a top-up they said they normally only give a up to 5 pet room.
Cleaner was odd. When I asked her for additional amenities she said she has to "call first". Presumably room service. I'm not sure if this is the standard operating procedure for this hotel because this is the first time I've encountered such a thing.
For a 5 star hotel and the price they are charging I'm surprised at the stinginess of the coffee and how they can assume that those who allergic to seafood will eat spicy stuff (as that was the only other alternative available).
