Saltair Inn Waterfront B&B

Beautiful Setting, right on the water front. We stayed in the "Chart" room, which was tastefully decorated, comfy Queen size bed and nice en suite bathroom with shower. Everything we needed! Kristi and Matt made us feel very welcome, they cooked breakfast and Kristi gave us detailed ideas and routes for our time in the Park. We had a wonderful experience. Also sitting out on the Adirondack chairs right by the water was a lovely experience as well!! Can't wait to go back.

Kristi and Matt are personable, welcoming and wonderful hosts. They were full of helpful local knowledge offering great suggestions for restaurants and places to see and things to do. The rooms are clean, the sheets and pillows are luxurious and the water views are fantastic. The breakfasts are creative, delicious and are a great start to the day.

The BEST B&B ever!!! We went for our honeymoon and had an amazing stay. The inn was so cozy and Kristi and Matt were great. They were quick to respond to any questions we had, and gave some great suggestions for hikes to do nearby and some excellent restaurants. The breakfast that they served every morning was really something to look forward to! Everything was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay! We will definitely be going back!

The Saltair Inn was the perfect warm and inviting place for a relaxing winter's stay away from the chaos of normal life. It is clear that Matt & Kristi's love and care have kept the Inn in pristine condition. I can highly recommend staying here

Stop debating and book Saltair Inn! We stayed here for 4 nights during our “babymoon” and it was all we hoped for! The view of the bay from the inn is fantastic and the hospitality Matt, Kristie, Lee, and Matt provide is wonderful. The breakfast each morning was enough to get us through the first part of our day in Acadia. The location is perfect, such an easy walk to downtown and super quick drive over to Acadia (less than 5 min). I would stay here again and again.

This was, hands-down, our favorite place we stayed during our coastal Maine trip! And it was the most reasonably priced for everything Matt and Kristi offer. We stayed on the 3rd floor in the Beehive Suite. It was a bit of a trek going up and down as many times as we did, especially with heavy luggage, but we loved the room and the view!!!! And we never heard a single other guest during our stay. They have a great HVAC system that keeps the third floor very cool. And the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is a parking space for a car for every room. When we arrived, we got a thorough welcoming from Matt. He showed us on a map some suggestions of where to eat. The inn is an easy walk from the town and about a five minute drive from the entrance to Acadia National Park. We didn't partake in breakfast, but saw many others enjoying it. They have a beautiful deck with plenty of seating, and Adirondack chairs in the yard to enjoy the stars. They keep the lights and music on all night, so no matter when you arrive home, you feel comfortable and safe. The only thing that we missed was access to ice. There is a tiny machine in the breakfast room, but that only makes enough ice for about 3 drinks for the whole place. We had to buy ice at the Circle K every day and keep it in our cooler in the room for our water bottles and cocktails. If you ever travel to Bar Harbor, this is the place to stay!!! Best view ever!!!
