Welcome Hotel at Gulmarg

One of the worst hotel and we had a very poor experience here. Location is good but do not book hotels in gulmarg it is vey expensive without any worth. The agents ,staff will ask you tip upfrontly.We recommend to have day trip in gulmarg and book stay in srinagar. Price for this hotel is too expensive and rooms are dirty. Breakfast was served with over salty maggi and poha only which was not at all worth.breakfast option is very poor worst than a dhaba. We paid 8000 with breakfast basis and you can now imagine what kind of service we were given. The staff will ask for tip upfront so do not fall into the trap of these hotels.

Sharing the unpleasant experience related to overnight stay at Welcome Hotel. The toilets were in pathetic condition - toilet seat was broken/detached, water leaking hence the hotel authorities closed the flushing system. Cleaning was not easy, unless take the risk to open the taps that were leaking, which could lead to flooding the room. Bedsheets and blankets were unclean, stained and thorn. Oil heater in the room not working. An electric blanket was provided however the power went off multiple times, and there was no back up. Crockery and utensils were stained or unclean. Not at all worth the stay

We had 3 rooms booked for 1 Night and the moment we entered in we realized the mistake. As we went in 1st week of April 2024, most of the other hotels were full & we just got 1 room in another hotel and could not get other 2 rooms so had to stay in hotel. Its all messy, seepage in hotel and rooms, Linen was dirty to that extent that some sticky thing was on sheets..... If you prefer 3 star or 4 star hotel, this is not even 1 star. Do not book rooms in this hotel.
