Nobu Hotel Barcelona

I might be slightly harsh about this hotel and setting standards too high, but upon checking in to my room, I found the room to be somewhat old (normal given to age), but the water kettle was extremely dirty (hotel was kind to give me a replacement). Service was good, as expected from a 5 star hotel. Location was decent, a bit far from the tourist action which was nice. Saturday nights = party on the roof top bar which meant lots of noise and music even on the 9th floor. I was hoping for better but maybe this is what 5 star meant in Barcelona? I am not sure, I had a pleasant stay for my 4 nights but there were some ups and downs. Good restaurant, nice lobby. Also the bathroom window is completely see-through so if you like your privacy you might want to request it being blocked before you stay. Nice view from the roof.

Located right by Barcelona Sants so it is well connected to the city centre with the metro. The hotel is nice, clean and it has very hospital staff. Would return if I am visiting Barcelona in the future.

Overall Impression While Nobu carries the reputation of a five-star luxury brand, the overall guest experience fell considerably short of that standard, functioning at best like an average four-star property. Serious housekeeping lapses, compromised room comfort, unresponsive service, and severe logistical challenges around the property detracted significantly from the stay. Cleanliness & Hygiene  Sanitation Failure: Housekeeping standards were unacceptable; dried fecal residue was found stuck to the toilet upon arrival, pointing to a severe lapse in basic turnover hygiene protocols.  Basic Consumables: The room ran out of boxed facial tissues, indicating poor attention to standard restocking routines. Room Comfort & Amenities  HVAC Noise: The air conditioning unit was excessively loud, creating persistent background noise that disturbed sleep.  Luggage Storage: Space was inadequate to open and stow standard luggage comfortably, leaving the living quarters cramped.  Missing Toiletries: Fundamental five-star personal care items were absent, with no toothbrushes or body lotion provided in the room.  Bedding Options: The hotel does not carry foam pillows. While alternative firm pillows were offered, the delay in fulfilling this basic request compromised the overall sleep experience.   Service & Communication  Housekeeping Inefficiency: Requests made via WhatsApp were mishandled. After confirming a request for firmer pillows at 10:27 PM with assurance that they would be delivered immediately, a follow-up inquiry at 11:03 PM revealed the request had stalled; staff merely restarted the intake process by asking basic questions ("How many pillows do you need?") over an hour after the initial inquiry.   Location & Accessibility  Distance from Sights: While situated near Barcelona Sants station, the property is detached from the central sightseeing districts, dining hubs, and primary tourist attractions.  Unreliable Rail Link to Airport: Despite proximity to the train station, hotel staff actively advised against taking the train to the airport due to frequent, chronic schedule delays.  Vehicular Access & Navigation Restrictions: Reaching the property by car is exceptionally problematic. Due to surrounding one-way street configurations and access restrictions limited exclusively to buses, Uber drivers repeatedly failed to reach the front entrance. Furthermore, the hotel lacks a convenient, dedicated stopping and drop-off zone, making arrivals and departures clumsy and frustrating.

Told us that the room was 505 and when we entered - there was another guest staying inside. Terrible. Only had one towel in the room although we were two guests, plus room service wasn’t consistent. Rooftop pool is a scam. It’s a 3 star hotel at best.

I had such a lovely stay at Nobu Barcelona. The hotel is very calm, clean, and comfortable the perfect place to relax in the middle of the city. The rooftop is absolutely amazing, with a beautiful atmosphere and views. The food was also excellent, and the meat tacos were definitely my favorite honestly, some of the best I’ve had! Great experience overall, and I would definitely come back.

It was not hygienic. Staff are constantly confused in the hotel. Nothing is straight forward. The breakfast is never ready. They lack serving in the mornings . There’s no food half the time in the dishes they are serving at the buffet and when you ask them how long they don’t know . It’s horrific. I’ve stayed at many NOBU hotels and this is the worst out of the branch. Additionally, to this I had black dirty dusty all over the room and on the curtain racks. Holes in the gowns provided for showering

Dirty bed sheets, house keeping never cleans the room properly, I asked for my dirty bath robe to be changed 5 times they never did, customer service is horrible when I complained the lady at reception says I should have some humanity because theyre human beings, I didnt know asking for a clean room was inhumane when you stay in a 5 stars hotel This is not Nobu London or even related to the brand Japanese service, this is a bad hotel that pretends to have good service The Argentinian guy at the bar also has zero manners, pushes customers around to gets drinks, they all need better training.

The staff were kind and professional, and the whole experience was easy and pleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of choices, and all areas of the hotel were kept very clean. Overall, we had a very positive experience and there is honestly nothing we would complain about. We would gladly come back and stay here again.

We had to carry our own luggage to the room. We called room service multiple times, but no one answered. We requested bed sheets, which didn't arrive until we asked again. The TV wasn't working, and we requested a technician, but no one ever came. Housekeeping was supposed to provide two bottles of water daily, but never did — we had to request them ourselves each time.
