Hostal Central Barcelona

I spent two nights in this most lovely hostel. All the staff are very friendly and utmost service minded. The room was very neat and clean. I find the prices are very reasonable too. The hostel is very well located in Barcelona, in walking distance to the center and the beach, not to forget La Sagrada Familia very close and an abundance of restaurants. I’m a frequent visitor of Barcelona and Hostal Central is my favorite place to stay.

2 months before our arrival I made reservation on their web page.After submitting my credit card I got an email with a confirmation number and reservation for our stay. When we arrrived to the hostal they told us they have no room for us and that the reservartion didnt go all the way through and it was my fault that my card was not charged by them. No matter where I travel after submitting my credit card information and receiveing confirmation and reservation number from the hotel I consider it a done deal (some hotel charge you the same day, some a week before, some on the day of your arrival.) Obviously not in this place where I think they open each room for more than one reservation and pick one and charge the highest price!!!! They didnt make the experience of coming to Barcelona nice but eventually we found another hotel and enjoyed our stay. We were looking forward to our stay at hostal central barcelona but they made the choice of not welcoming us and loosing many new potential customers that my company could have bring them. Sorry guys but never ever....

Clean, very central, host was helpful and informative Room small but very comfortable bed, room cleaned each day and plenty of clean towels, toiletries, great shower, all you need for short break. Room just as pictured.

Close to all places, great hosts (Monica and Carlos), non problematic stay, rooms are cleaned everyday!!! We had such a blast staying there. Highly recommended place for a visit. Metro stations 5 min walking from the spot. With a beautiful weather you can go pretty much anywhere on foot! Gracias por todo Monica y Carlos! Hasta la vista! :)

Hostal très sympathique avec des chambres confortables, agréables et décorées avec beaucoup de goût. Le personnel est aussi très gentil. Pas de service de petit déjeuner, mais café et le thé sont à disposition le matin. Super bien placé entre la Sagrada Familia et le quartier gothique. Seul petit bémol sur le bruit que ce soit extérieur ou des autres chambres.

Super bien situado para ir a pie. Las personas que gestionan el hotel muy agradables, grandes recomendaciones y sin problema para prolongar el checkout. Nuestra habitación no era muy amplia pero cómoda y perfectamente limpia
