I had a very unpleasant experience during my stay at Hotel Indigo Barcelona. I lost a newly purchased handbag in the hotel lobby, which contained two cardholders. I immediately reported it to the front desk and asked for help in locating it or checking the surveillance cameras.
While I understand that hotel staff may not have direct access to the footage, they told me to file a police report — which I did. The police then instructed me to return to the hotel the next morning to view the footage.
However, when I called the front desk the next morning, they simply said they were “aware of the situation” and never followed up. Even by the time I checked out on the third day, no one from the hotel reached out to update me or offer assistance.
Throughout the whole incident, the hotel staff showed indifference and a lack of responsibility. I felt unsupported and ignored. I would not stay here again and do not recommend this hotel to others.
